I was down in Galway the weekend and decide to go to the cliffs of mohar for a look , there were some nice views .
Decided to go to Lisdoovarana for lunch not much going no there.
When we left Lisdoovarana and headed down n67 , thats when the fun started what a road it had everything humpback bridges, nice crests, some good straights.
Nice fast flowing bends and to top it off a hill called corkscrew hill .
One of the nicest roads i ever drove the new scooby felt well , also the the weather was realy nice.
If you are ever over that part of the country try it out.

That's a great road alright,
I was lucky enough to have driven that one myself!

My favourite road would have to be coming out of hollywood, Co.Wicklow, straight up over Wicklow gap,
Down into Laragh, and turn right out to Rathdrum!!
Super fast mountain drive with the occasional cliffs to laragh!! and then into tree covered slippy, twisty, hump backed bridges all the way to rathdrum!
And the bohernabreena gearbox road and on to johnny foxs!!!

I'm going for a drive!
Dan

my favourite piece of tar in the world would have to be the nurburgring :multijump:,but as for an actual road it would have to be molls gap in killarney savage road great crack in a scooby :subaru: :subaru:

my fave is the road that takes you across the northern coast , from belfast , to letterkenny
great scenery ....road quality is second to none , and because its across the border , you can tip along at a reasonable pace with the points nazis cracking down on ya

Have to say my all time favourite road isnt in Ireland!!!!

Its in Scotland!!!! Up towards Knockhill Circuit out into the mountains......
It runs (meanderingly) alongside one of the main motorways but has some savage long straights, Tight turns and some awsome tight single vehicle hump back bridges!!!

Manys a night spent exploring those roads a few years ago when i was living in Edinburgh

Was up in scotland couple of weeks ago roads are brilliant..drove along loch ness for near 40 miles twisting roads smooth tarmac...unreal scenery..and its all so well layed out any dodgy bends are well marked...and drivers up there really shift ...on the motorway i gave up at 140 as an rs4 pulled away then an Insigna(i think) came by at savage speeds..lose your licence up there very easily..I made sure I was in behind someone any time i had the boot down.
Couldn't recommend it enough for a driving trip..loads of scoobs about as well

Combination of a few rally classics.Start in adrigole up over healy pass, onto kenmare up molls gap into killarney, out to kilgarvan and a blast back over borlin :subaru: :subaru: :subaru:

There is another road out of Perth towards Edinburgh that would be very much like the Wicklow Gap Roads, (only much less used and better laid)
that we used to take the bikes out on every weekend!!!! Speeds of 160 - 180 alot of the straights then into the twisty stuff under trees around hedges over bridges.......

In all the time we used that road the only time we ever seen anyone else out that way, they were stopped having picnics and taking photos of Eagles

Its one of the main things i miss about living over there!!!!!

i love the wicklow gap , bit scary when ya get brake fade on the down hill part ,

but i think my favourite is a small section of road between Aughrim and woodenbridge (wicklow) river on one side rock face on other side , nice crests , with sweeping and sharp bends nicely mixed , along with few straights

i havent driven on this road for a few years now its called the priests leap [short cut bewteen kenmare and bantry] went that way a few times during the lakes if you have a death wish take this road with a bad driver has a bit of everything includeing one blind crest in a bend with a major drop into a valley on other side nice senery as well

Locally... it's Wicklow Gap and the Vale of Clara... as part of the Laragh Loop!! 21 bends from Enniskerry to N11 for a short, sharp blast... the Cullen bends outside of Ashford.

Futher afield... Moll's in my old mini!

Iv got a few now...Tim Healy Pass, road from dingle to tralee is twisty and fast and of course Molls Gap.actually drove up Molls gap 3 weeks ago at 1:30am

i like the road that goes out around lough gill from sligo into leitrim and back into sligo, also the road from ballisadare to dromore west, decent surface for te most part and nice sweeping turns. however im glad i havent to drive them everyday but good for a lesuirely drive.
