@ alan ye do it all myself its a nice time frame . strip it say 2/3 weeks clean back and repaint all small parts and stuff 2/3 weeks . clean down bodywork strip the under seal from the floor pan and repaint 4/5 weeks and put it all back together 2/3 weeks . sounds nice on paper but i think it can be done give or take a week

@ brian to be fair the cost wont be that much as it be all done by myself so paint will be the biggest expence as i wont be going wil the engine build for a while .

@ colm if we can have a collection outside mass then i'll say it and we'll split it down thye middle 70/30 my way :icon_biggrin:

you will be well sorted there with them parts i dont think coilovers will make much difference but better to mention it to them tell them they were already on the car and you only discovered them and taught u should mention it, i listed all my parts and submitted it to my ins comp and my premium went up and my excess doubled but worth it imo
what sort of prices did you get for the whiteline stuff charlesand what supplier?ive found a uk company and couldnt believe there prices!!taught they were very reasonable

Hi Alan,

£511.38 including delivery from the UK for that list - which was a very sharp price.
Got my ALK from them too.
Chap is called Ryan ( [email protected] ) - got name from Scoobynet little while back when I was sourcing the ALK.

Yeah, want to declare coil-overs... not too worried about the polybushes etc or the ALK or bumpsteer kit as investigator wouldn't spot them, but coil-overs are a clear mod so need to declare. You reckon better to say already were on the car and just found out when sent it for a service or something? What if they charge an arm and a leg then? Kind of was hoping to find out additional premium first and then decide whether or not to pull the trigger... then again don't want to take the risk either of them saying not allowed to fit them :ponder:

Anyone here experience with the above (I'm with AA - which is underwritten by AXA)? Tnx!

wts the breakdown or each item?if fitted and ur policy is in place i dont think they can do much but if you say you want to change to many questions like why you want it to handle better are you racing it ect.

they dont like covering mods so i wouldnt give them the chance to say no

just ring and ask the question Charles . how much of a loading can I expect if I fit xy or z part , if its nuts money just say no thanks and fit em anyway

Buy a BC5, Check,, done so in June
Enjoy... Not so much... Car needed a lot of tidying :wtf:

Tidy up including
Refurbing brake callipers. Done
Replacing Suspension to original. Done. Thanks to Dave5300 and Scoobysub
Source Rear Spoiler. Done thanks to Dave5300
Refurb Alloys. Done thanks to Lester Engineering Lisburn (like new :goodjob:)
Polybush underside. Work in Progress
Respray... Work in Progress

Getting as much of this done without the wife knowing the complete cost.... Big work in progress :shtf: :shtf: :shtf:

Look on my face when all is completed.... Priceless :multijump: :scoobydoo: :scoobydoo:
