Wheel nuts

Excuse my dumbness on this question. I'm getting my wheels refurbished sand was going to get a set of D1 spec wheel nuts aswell. Do I get the 1.5 or the 1.25? What are the difference in the two? Is it just length?

id say its more to do with the thread pitch ,1.25 being fine metric ,1.5 being standard metric thread

Subaru are m12 x 1.25 mm like most japs they are fine metric

As above get steel nuts, aluminium nuts are crap.
