Where could I find Facia for 05 WRX?

Hey lads, long time no seen. Hopefully ill be back for good soon and come back in to club as full member for next year. Being back in full time employment rocks! :thumbsup:

So anyway, I finally can upgrade my stereo in my scooby. I got harness ordered already. Looks like double din units can go in without facia, but I dont want to pay premium for double din as all I need is ability to play mp3 and USB ( I am not really melomaniac! ). I was wondering how much would be a facia+shelf so maybe I can get 1din unit. Its for 05 blob Scooby, but I got the older panel, not the facelif one.

You can get a genuine one off a main dealer for alot less than the one on scoobyparts.. I have part number if you want it

That pocket is expensive enough! almost as much as the Radio when delivery counted in! :doh:

Nearest Subaru dealership is 60km away. I will take that part number though, Ill give them a ring and see how much they want for it.

Other then that, I cant see cheap double din units around.

Well, turns out, by the time I get Fascia and drive almost 150km trip to pick it up, the price of 1din setup is almost same as just buying 2 din unit.

I called hallfords too and they would order fascia too, but they wont order it over the phone, so that would mean at least 2 trips to Cork. Again, destroying any savings over 2 din unit. :banghead

So I just went to my good old friend Amazon and ordered this:

Its cheap and non fancy 2 din unit, but has all I need - USB and Mp3. :thumbsup: Comes at 132eu delivered. A bit more expensive over 1 din solution, but a lot less hassle.
 
That's the job gud head unit for the money. And look better in the dash.

no bother Rob.. its not an exact fit you have to do a bit of a DIY job to get it to hold in place but all is hidden once its in

Not being smart but they could have posted it rather than picking it up. Its comes in box an all. I got mine posted and I only live half an hour away from the garage.

They could have posted it? Paying over phone too? Ah well. Maybe next time. All its done and I am waiting for my yoke to come over. Cant wait!

By the way, we were taking out radio, so the front panel had to go off. thats what we found inside the panel... Billy has really good taste! :multijump:
