hi dec markobuckos car is in storage but its for sale at the same time, nics spec c went to kenc then sold on again, did one of micks cars engine let go and possably parked up or sold and i think the one he bought for his missus is his daily driver now

None of micks engines have let go Alan. What a way to start a rumour.. wow. Ha

The second 204 was never gonna be drivin by his misses. Its now his daily driver as less raw. Other is in storage in his place.

tell ya what barry you'v just gone up in my estimation

If ya can beat em join em ....................so when you buying your Sti Impreza :multijump:

Kanye still has his also, would nearly be tempted to buy that myself if it came up again

Mick still has both but building a new business is where his priorities lie ATM. Dave may correct me here but I think the next plan for the modified one was a 2.2 cdb.

hi dave not starting any rumour or trying to start anything , i taught it was common knowledge that the head gaskets went when it was mapped for race fuel with std head studs a few years ago after rolling road day???i think it was bobr that told me,hence why it was a question not a statement as i am not totally sure ,so if im wrong i apologise and mods remove post please,i think your response could have been worded better also if not the case i think your jumping the gun a bit,you could answer the question rather than say im starting a rumour!!

@ rob no it's not for sale anywhere afaik but last i heard marko would part with it for around 11k which imo is the bargain of the century considering the car has around 30k miles and a aps front mount and a md321 pushing near 400 bhp,the car has been garaged the last few years thats the one i'd be going for anyway as i've said before on here

Let go and HG is a bit different.

And my reply had a "ha" at the end of it.

The 321V Garret GT32 was purchased for a planned 2.33 stroker. (x2 EJ22T blocks purchased for this also which on shelf safely)

We advised Michael the GT32 combined with NOS would take the head studs past their ability.

Michaels Response was "sure whats worst can happen".

We said lift heads and create a bubble/push water out.

He wanted to proceed as no damage would be caused. This was to see the potential output of her on a 2.0L engine. If engine was removed and 14mm studs put in this would not of been an issue. So was a curiosity decission. Result was 518bhp.

With NOS off no head lift was present.

So term "let go" is not accurate.

It was a pre planned known issue that would happen and decided solely by the owner. And that can be fully confirmed next time your chatting with him.

As said a removal and 14mm upgrade of Head Stud and could have remained that spec with no further issues in that area.

So basically was an exercise to test the limits?

Out of interest is it a full strip for the 14mm head studs conversion?

Yes full strip.

If considering be if you decide on yours to pull apart for a freshen up some day.

And no not a research & developement exercise to test limits, as i knew she would lift prior. It was a what will this step up acheive power wise? As in on that car, S204 heads, 2.0L forged engine at the 8.4:1 compression ratio. Answer 518bhp on that particular build . So if decided to keep that spec. All needed to do was strip down. Inspect, Upgrade to 14mm headstuds and reassemble. and result be a non head lifting 518bhp.

But block and heads would be fine. She never ever rose temp needle. Temps stayed as they should.

Good to know , be worth doing if she does lift the heads in future if it hasn't already that is

Not gonna be an issue on yours re lift as you would have happened on your first hard track outing.

At your current power level that area things be fine.

Doesnt say you might not get just a mileage/usage related head gasket issue.

Sure see how it goes

there are not that many newage limited editions for sale around or even new age sti for that matter

I'm nearly sure the Spec C ended up in Galway or Sligo... As it was a kind of strang deal where a dealer came yo me and bought the car on behalf of his customer..??? But I think that's the area where she went to..

There was a few JDM Prodrive Bugeyes for sale at one time but now none, and I would hate to think all were broken... I had a lovely one and I think it was either that chap Phil or his brother from Scoobymaniacs bought it of me, but then I think they broke one... I really hope it wasn't my old one as it was a nice car...

I imported a rare enough Bugeye STI RA a good few years ago.... And a nice chap from Kilkenny bought her... She is a bit unusual as when we went to reg her she turned out to be a 00 rather than 01 ... So she is 00kk... White, roof flap, mirrors are black... And I think he still has it.

My old v5 type r vlimited with a new 2.5 in it was sold 6-7 years ago to a chap I think in Monagahan, mate of cossie devil and as far as I know that's sat in a garage and it was a real nice machine think it was something like 18k at the time lol.

I bought a grey type t off a chap on here with engine gone and sold it to a chap from Carlow who got Ali burrows to rebuild it for him

Not sure where my 00 wx v6 white 4dr sti ever ended up

... So I do my best to keep the subarus alive in Ireland :)

its not easy to keep them alive! lads get stuck for cash sometimes through no fault of their own and unfortunately the car has to go and if it breaks handier than selling that's what happens :icon_cry:

I'd sell mine for the right money, but the right money is probably more than it's "market value".

were all in the same boat Robbie , no body would pay what you or i would value the cars at , i'll drive mine until it falls apart , but even if i did decide to sell up , what do ya buy after an sti ? nothing out there that would tempt me
