I'd sell mine for the right money, but the right money is probably more than it's "market value".

Id be the same Tommy but my mate is after buying an rs4.. Its some car really is, comfort and power but €1800 road tax would a downer.. RS focus would be nice altough Ive never driven one so might not like that

the focus RS really is a savage car the only thing that would let it down for you or any of us is lack of 4x4 for the wet roads but in the dry theres not a Scooby here that would make a laugh of it I can guarantee ya that mental how much grip they have

The lack of STi's for sale is partly due to the fact that the ones left in the country are good ones with happy homes. A car thats for sale every 6 months raises alarm bells to me. :ponder2: Most that are for sale are exiting the country too as Sterling is too strong for the Euro so the UK are picking up bargains over here. Stories going around of 'dealers' exporting the performance stuff and making a killing while importing 'green' shite. :puke3:

ye that's true eoin hurst in the uk has buyers getting stuff over here for him I seen a car I worked on up on his site for sale

Who needs 4 doors ffs... 2drs is the perfect excuse to leave the bitch and minions behind:)

The focus Rs is on my to buy list.... There mental looking......

They were so close to creating a legend... If they had only slapped a Cossie into it and 4wd..... Frustrating

a jesus ken the cossie is a dinasour man great engine in its day but the Volvo lump in the rs is a way stronger engine the swedes have them engines pushing out 8-900 bhp I think ford were right to stick with the front drive layout they were slated for the torque steer in the old rs so in stead of giving in and goin 4x4 they stuck with it and got it to work and then to prove it worked they gave it an extra 100bhp over the mk 1.the 4x4 system out of the ford kuga jeep fits straight in with fu*k all modding so you could make one for yourself be a nice project

Dec, they didn't have to use the old cosworth engine.. Lol.. I'm sure they could have come up with something with a modern day twist...

As far as I'm concerned the escort cossie was the last classic they made, I couldn't have been arsed with the st or old RS CRAP...

But when they launched the new Rs, omg the body work... It just was a sigh of relief to see that someone was still willing to produce a fat arched rally car for the road... And I think if would have been great for old time sake and the die hard ford fans to see it sport a Cosworth badge and an awd system... I know it's just dreaming but it would have been the icing on the cake IMO

I agree with dec, I was the same as you ken, if only ford had made it AWD but honoustly it doesn't need it,

The grip is on par with a scooby in the dry no problem and until you drive one you won't believe it.

I can see we're all the car company's are going with either fwd or rwd as for the English market you just can't drive fast anywhere anymore with speed cameras everywhere, there building car more and more for the track now, so people can use them to there best ability s and you just don't need AWD on track.

ye I do see what ya mean ken and it would have made sense but it would have cost 60-70k in stead they came in at 48k I was told that at a ford meeting back when they came out as I asked the question like you did and that's what I was told ,there is some talk of the next rs being 4x4 but I cant see it happening, they have cracked front drive and id say for cost they will stick with that ,the new rs is to be an ecoboost 2.3 like whats in the new mustang and supposedly 330-350 out of the box and 5 door

But the English market isn't a dry one... It's more wet... And your saying its a cracker to handle, same as a scooby in the dry, and it's uk orientated but the uk is probably what 70% wet weather....

Anyway it's not the aspect I'm looking at...
I think there was a market they for the car I would have liked to seen, I think a guy that has or had an escort cossie would have appreciated... They weren't going to be massive numbers produced so all would be bought any how... Keep the die hards happy :)

Another thing.. Uk is in a downturn aswell, so in reality how many customers will be buying a new car and tracking it?

Look dec, it's just hoping and dreaming... Toyota kinda did it with the 86... They have a rwd coupe...

How nice would it be to see New 22b equivelant launched... Fat arches and just a bit in your face and ott... And Fuk the conservative looking things
