ya i know what you mean about the drop in power,but i drove a 05 wrx irish model yesterday and it was ok to be fair.was standard and was quick enough, also i think would be way better on feul, my type-r is very fond of the petrol stations.

iv had 8 classics my last was a type r v limited,i bought a 2005 irish blob ,its 225 bhp its no type r but theres plenty of comfort and power, great car for motorway driving low revs at 120kpm,the type r was arunt on petrol and i would take the wifes car on long trips to work,the irish wrx blob can be run as a daily motor,better on back roads for handling also,mods=more petrol car does me fine the way it is...just dont go putting it up to a classic at the lights..

right just an update on the original post, i sold my type-r last friday,and i must say i dont miss it. went straight onto donedeal and saw two nice bugs,one was irish and the other jap, looked at the jap one first and ended up buying it got great deal off sound lad who was sad to see it go. its really nice car,more or less standard has sti front lights and nice sounding exhaust, i find it way more comfortable than the type-r. ok dosent have the power of the sti but has plenty of poke all the same,power is way more smoother, i use car everyday so the bug is way more practicle.way better on juice too. very happy with it,will try to put up pic

personally i agree that a type r would be a absolute whore
as a every day car
not sure is there anyone in the club even who drives one day in day out ?
it is the better car but if it is your main jammer probably way to costly
