Who leaves this crap all over the roads?

Driving home from work yesterday, it sounded like had driven over a drinks can or coke bottle or something. Thought nothing of it until i heard some intermittent noise from the back of the car that would come and go. Checked it out when I got home and saw this bad boy sticking out of my Potenza RE040's. So some fool leaving inch-long rivets on the road has just cost me €150.

This is on top of paying €600 per annum car tax, 75% of every fill of petrol and tolls so that local authorities can pay for roads maintenance including road sweeping presumably.

This is the second tyre I've had destroyed in 3 years due to debris on the roads, over 300quid through no fault of my own. Luckily, at least it didn't blow out at 120kph with my family in the car with me....and a couple of weekends ago I had rotated tyres which meant that the one with the least tread on it was at the back...

Thats a pain in the rear end mate, the country's roads are in a shambles,

the road up to my homeplace was tared during last year about a 2mile stretch, it hadn't been done in over 20yrs, great job done on it smooth as Fcuk!!!!!!!!! it's now like a bloody dirt track it's all soft and the van tramlines on it, potholes everywhere too,
whats going to happen when they finally have everyone driving around in efficient motors and on low road tax??? they cant look after things as it is with the fortune they steal from us at the moment

I know how you fell. I had a screw go right true the side wall of a Dunlop SP Sport. I could have killed the ba*tard had I know who it was.

a bit off topic but i thought id share a story that happened to me many moons ago
i had a fiesta and thought it would be a good idea to pull a handbrake going into the parents driveway
needless to say i misjudged it a took the whole fooking wing including the headlight
so i botched the wing back together to go to work the next morn. i was driving behind a flatbed truck
when i saw something fall off the truck bounced up and hit my car i tried to flash him but to no avail
ya wont fooking believe this when i got out there was a foot and a half long steel bar stuck in me good fooking headlight
ya wouldnt know what you'd come across on the roads

A truck passed me the and one of the metal wheels and axle things off the trailer fell off just missing me and a load of other cars. I was side by side with it when it hapened. I turned back and removed it off the road before someone hit the bar (Axel) and wheel that was sticking up.
