but you would want to rip off the tyre to check for cracks on the inside of the rim, just to make sure, then straighten it out for repaint

Id be with Tommy on this, and while your at it, Id get the suspension checked out!!!!!
any time i have seen a wheel damaged to that extent in the past, the majority of times there is some kind of suspension damage too!!!!
(hope this isnt the case this time tho)

my wheel had less damage than that on it when someone clipped me and turns out wheelbearing and rear trailing arm needed to be replaced. get it check out

Oh christ! Thats all i need! I'm screwed workin this week so it'l have to wait til after christmas. I dont have any major distance to travel at least. Been pootling around town today and nothing feels odd so fingers crossed. I'll take the wheel off anyways and have a look for cracks.
