Why are Honda Integra dc5's so expensive?!

Guys on my almost daily browses of the UK car sales websites i've noticed that year for year honda integra dc5's are almost as expensive as the same year impreza sti's,or in some cases more expensive,does seems to be confined to the UK however as i've noticed Dc5's under the 10k euro mark now with some dealers here.Still is it just the recaro interior your buying?,or the high reving engine?,has anyone here owned one before?
 
Had one for 7 months-prettiest car ive ever owned and rapid quick.Lovely interior and absulutely bulletproof-I revved the bag of it all day long and it just wanted more.I conut them serious value for money
 
Gary I think you cant compare a B4 to a vtec engine. Totally different cars to drive I think.

I have been a passenger in one and I really dont understand this fascintion with vtec. Its like waiting for bad sex.
 
theres nothing more adrenalin rushing than a turbo IMO....
dc5 are nice cars but have an sti everytime!!!!
 
My last car was a integra dc2 1.8 vtec 1993 sold it last year for 5000euro
loved it was never gonna change it ! Then baby makes 3 so got my foz and if I had to do it all again I would go Subaru all the way - man I loved my teg a lot of work put in but love my foz more
 
Two very different cars-honda was very raw-real track car feel to it'but in honesty-Id say up to 70 the DC5 would take a B4-after that legacy would eat it.
 
I see,around the twisty stuff the Dc5 is id say is much better,but i dont drive racing tracks to work,i cant get insured on an Sti of any description at 22,so will bide my time for a nice tidy B4 or maybe even a BL5 model if & when i decide to go back to the boxer:)

From a bit or research that dealer seems to deal with alot of higher priced cars bmw's merc's etc so probably why its a little overpriced.Nice example though,is there a decal on the driver side skirt?
 
That looks quite good yeah. You think sti's are hard to insure-try getting them to quote for the DC5!!!!! I was transferring from a 99 Evo 6 to the DC5 and they just refused flat out-said the honda is a higher ins group!
 
i swear by honda what a great reliable car... had an sir and civic typeR and integra typeR and never had a problem.... kinda looking for a cheap sir now for cheap track day- rally car

them cars are along time around now and some of them got some driving so make sure engine ok
