I know i'm probably one of the virgin noobs on this site when it comes to Subaru ownership, but curious about the trend in Subaru ownership. I know there is a good mix of daily driver owners on here aswell as weekend only drivers so i thought i would throw this out there. If you are considering getting a newer car than what you have now would you consider a newer model Subaru?
For example, i have a 2003 new shape Legacy, pretty happy with it currently but another 2-3 years and i think i would be looking for a change. Current Subaru Legacy offerings in Ireland are pretty poor, its either a 2008-2010 diesel or the newer Daewoo look a like 2nd gen diesel legacy , none really tickle my fancy so i think that rules out any of them. So only other option to stay in the legacy branch of the family is a newer jdm import such as the tuned by sti models or newer Spec B's, but probably to expensive for what you get considering the current strength of the Yen. Failing that i could look at he Impreza range and to be honest, no offence, they never really did it for me. Part of me is thinking just buy a diesel and just consider the car as a means of getting from A to B but where is the fun in that?
Anyway, thats my drunken rant over, it could all change tomorrow when the budget comes out and we all end up driving 1.4 diesel polo's!
