Windscreen replacing clowns .

Had to get my screen replaced .
Rang my insurance company and they sent out a fella. First time he put on a massive rubber gasket around the window . he said
that he did that because the roof was starting to show some bubble rust. I told him that I was far from happy with the job
and he said he would do it again. fair play.. This time he put a smaller rubber gasket around the window and its still coming up on the roof by about 5 mm. It just doesnt look right and to make matters worse , on each side of the top of the window there are 2 bulges as if the gasket was stretched and is not sitting right and looks bad. Im just not happy with the job 2nd time around . would the rubber gasket over time go back into shape or will them bulges stay there. Thinking of ringing the insurance company because he is not doing the job right.

any advice lads
 
I had to bring my car to a garage 3 times to finally sort out my car...
But they did it right this time and last two times they brought and took car themselves ;] + after each return wash+vacuum.

I'd chase them up until it's done properly...
 
I would say the gasket is 2 long and thats why its bulging at the corners . would look for the job to be redone . hope you didn't sign for it
 
I phoned both the lads that done the windscreen and my insurance company to complain. So thay said they would be out next saturday when Im at home to replace it.

Heres hoping third time is a charm :pray:
 
Yea I said that to there boss this morning and he wasnt impressed. As I said to him they got two chances to fit and done it
wrong twice. :cuckoo:

They WILL do it right this time... lol
 
they are probably used to getting away with shoddy work as the majority of people know fu*k all about what they are driving
 
Exactly what Tommy said above. Most people have no clue and don't give a fxxx ;)

where was car done i fit windscreens to sounds like they used a universal trim
 
True, on my Corsa, a single fu*k is given too, for as long as it gets me from point A to point B, I am happy with it... but once I get my impreza, I will be PITA for any work being done:)
