Just cause it came from an Evo doesn't mean it won't suit a Subie haha

I’ve never done a bad mod to my car.
But!! I only spend money on improving the performance of the car from the factory.
My opinion is like Gary, make it go fast/faster as it was intended... not slow it down to look good!
But mods are up to the owner and it would be a horrible world if we were all the same!
I just love making the car faster and it looking similar on the outside.
I call it subtle modification, making an old performance car that bit better to Smoke the Golf R generation.
I don't know if I'm going to regret this mod but I've the engine out for a rebuild and am looking to shed 30 kgs to get closer to the Class 20 weight limit. Not alone am I ditching the heater.....I've removed all pipework associated with it. That includes making a brand new genuine 3 port water pump into a 2 port!
There are a couple of fan heaters now available for demisting windscreens. Failing that I can go heated windscreen.
Fingers crossed I'm not removing these bungs to go backwards.

Worst mod I ever did on the car, is also the one mod that makes me smile everytime and reminds me that cars are supposed to give you that feeling of being 12 again. How it happened is the funny part as I initially wanted to keep the car stock and once that part was installed, it spiralled down the rabbit hole then[emoji23] My car was parked in work one evening, drove home that night and then the next morning woke up to find there was a big dent on the front passenger wing [emoji849] I went back home and that evening managed to get an absolute bargain on a K&N Typhoon off Amazon that I just couldn't pass up. The noises that come out of it annoy me, delight me, are at times obnoxious but secretly I like it a lot[emoji23] Highly recommend it to everyone to get a mod that make you happy and not to think about what others think [emoji16]

Keep it simple! Never remove the windscreen demister.... fcuk all weight in a fan!!
If racing or track days.... get it handling on standard power (or modified).
Get it braking also!

All about control at speed and under control.
Smooth in.... fast out.
IMO weight is not an issue until you Make the car as fast as possible in your hands & can roll off lap times within half seconds!
Sort the handling/braking...
Then practice like fcuk to better yourself.
I have put the best bits on my spec c and blown my load real quick in the first
First 5 laps!!! Car was sh1te!!
Talked to Wagon Dec.... in pit lane... he said.... “graham.... you are over driving it now with the new mods!!”
Top racer/driver he was 110%.
Get the car comfortable to you , then modifiy the go faster/handling bits.
Go again...
When it’s perfect and as fast as you can get it around a track...
Then shave weight...
If you get more than a second off, on your preferred track, after removing fan
Etc etc
I’ll be super impressed with you!!
