Would ya let the missus drive your car

How many of ye have let your other halves , wives, girlfriends drive yere subarus .....and how tightly were ye grippin the seat when ye did it ?? :lol:

my missus drives a 1.3 hyundai accent with about 20bhp if im being generous , so she drives pretty sedately as theres no point in trying to overtake someone when it takes forever to build up enough of a head of steam .
But when i had my accident at christmas i had no choice but to let her drive my levin now and again,just so i could keep it ticking over , which was a pretty big jump in power for her at the time ,and its safe to say she soon got addicted to it.

But at the weekend , after a few too many glasses of wine at the cat laughs festival i let her drive my B4 home with much trepidation ...
and the old saying is true , .. that absolute power corrupts , absolutely

my god she turned into a demon when she found out where the turbo chimed in , and pretty soon she was overtaking everything in sight, and getting used to the familiar psshht from the HKS ssqv , she was like a woman possessed ,doing laps of the town ...
i think im gonna have to start hiding my keys from now on
 
Only let her drive it when i get paranoid about noises, so i can have a listen. I'm grand because she's tiny and my seat is conveniently 'fixed' so it won't go far enough forward for her to drive it!! :lol:
 
Mine wouldnt want to, she's too afraid of it. Don't get me wrong, i wouldnt let her anyway but i get browny points for asking :icon_grin:

Even has her own keys to mine, and funny enough only uses it now and again......usually when theres no petrol in hers :smile:
 
now and again , she is still afraid of it tbh, when im drivin and about to overtake(slightly :whistle: spirited) the two hands go straight up and cover her face so she cant see wats happening , and i have a little chuckle to myself, :lol: she might get to drive somewhere local once every two weeks and at first she was afriad of turbo land (above 3000rpm) but slowley she is growing to like it , which scares me !!
 
My missus only got her provisional so I'm teaching her how to drive in mine.... Boost set to 0.5bar though :lol:
 
I'll have no choice when the projects finished and it's back on the road... she says I owe her for all the weekends working on it and the money spent! :doh:

I'm so dreadin that day.... :shock2: :shock2: :shock2:
 
Have a custom moulded seat fitted Jamie, that should sort that :lol:
 
Ive no problem letting mine drive it. But she is afraid of it anyway so theres no much of a problem there.

I let Sharon the whole time- she loves the defender also :icon_grin: Still have to get her behind the handlebars of the 8 wheeler though..... :icon_omg:

I've no problem with my other half driving my car. She's a better driver than most fellas are anyway.
 
I let her drive it only when i had a few drinks on bord .
She thinks she is on a rally with the accelator. Not to bad
 
Have no prob lending my misses the car,she actually like driving it..........she knows exactly how to make the loud pedal loud... :cool:

I insured mine on my car to bring the insurance down a bit (it works :thumbsup:)

Have nt told her she's insured though :shhh: :shhh: :lol:

she thought my 130bhp tdi golf was quick so i doubt i'll let her near the scooby for a while yet
