Would you use your every day scooby for a track day?

daily driver , for me , the pro's far outweigh the cons , its all about gettin over the fear and doing it . would highly reccommend training day for 1st timers ,and isdc trackday as a follow on. As club members would have alot more respect for each other on and off track should a problem arise . also passenger spins to show you how others drive their subaru on track .

id do every day on every track possible if funds allowed .

It is Martin ,
Full day on the international circuit (which you will see on the the training day) for €145 so about €40 cheaper than Mondellos open days

Balls! Leavin for France on the 14th June, not back till the 30th! Iv really liked the idea of the training day now and the club day then with Baz! Typical!

Pity . This isn't the club trackday that on later in the year usually October

I'll report back Wednesday on how I get on. It's classroom, then instructor in car with you then 20 mins on your own. Can't be bad for 50 quid!

i did it last year and the format was 30 mins in the class room the 20 minutes following an instructor car in groups of 4 cars per instructor to show lines at a very slow pace and stop to do a walk at each corner ,then back to class for 20-30 minutes for a discussion ,back on track again following the instructor still slow pace but at a little more speed ,back in class then and final out on track is maybe 10 minutes behind instructor and then he pulls off and your free for 20 minutes .I really enjoyed it and I learned a lot even though I had drove mondello a load of times before it well worth doing imo

Sounds like an excellent idea, must look into doing this myself, pity its midweek and not on an evening, to answer the original question I would use my everyday car on track, realistically you will only do 1-2 a year and nobody is forcing you to drive beyond you or your cars capabilities, would highly recommend a private one such as Baz's or the clubs, excellent drivers on track and less messing.

Hi martin i agree with the lads here doing a track day in ur daily driver is great crack.. i did my first trackday in feb this year and i said sure ill leave the car as is and it will be grand...My break pads were toast after about 2 laps and the tyres were just crap.. ill know better next time.. a good set of tyres and pads and maybe break fluid and ull be sorted... and try and get out for a few laps with some guys who know their way around, most lads will be glad to take u out for a few laps, helped me alot with lines and breaking points :beerdrink:

Anyone know when the next training session is then?

I looked on their website and most recent date it shows was back in March...

Thanks Martin...
Will try to see if can go as would be interested, but this week is a bit tough for me.
Do you know if they hold them regularly?

Charles.
