so what plans if any do you have for your car in 2012? Going to keep driving it? Any nice projects or upgrades for it?

i plan on:
FMIC
cold air induction kit
Whiteline suspension upgrades
get bonnet fixed and some other touch up body work

Should keep me busy with the car for a while

definitely keeping it ,i plan on fitting an sti turbo and injectors and top mount ,and drive the heart and soul out of it :multijump: :multijump:also if the cash is there a trip to the ring to drive the heart and soul out of it :multijump:

havent driven the rs since june but i still cant stop buying stuff for it,
sti carbon strut brace
alloy rad
oil catch tank
440 injectors (have 500cc injectors aswell)
goin to put it back on the road around may/june so it will be getting a full respray before then

Bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, remap, white line goodies and a few cosmetic changes too possibly

Finish the engine build early January hopefully.

Get her on the road for a run in period NCT's Tax'd and then see what happens. Was playing with the idea of selling her but have decided to keep her due to the work that is going into her. New acl race bearings (big and small end). New Crank seals, Water pump, oil pump, head gaskets. Heads skimmed, timing belt and tensioners and all fluids (engine, gearbox and Diff). She'll be far to good to sell.

I have the 18" Speedlines there to go on to her so have to buy four good tyres and get the wheel alignment done to suit the wheels.

Other then that do a few track days in her then take it from there.

Front mount
Fuel reg
Completely do out the engine bay everything be done
New seats a must due to bad back
All the whiteline bits
Simtec ecu with anti lag an launch control
6 speed conversion
Remap
An a few other bits keep me happy then probably get rid of it
Do something different
Nctd last week so time to get started

put the hawk back on the road and get new clutch for it and then vf48 turbo and map it, just in the middle of upgrading the brakes.

track car needs a few bits done, front mount and a tweak map, relocate battery and get rid of abs unit, new slick tyre's and maybe a weld in cage.
more suspension tweaks, strip some more weight from it and get some more track days into her

The Wagon...

Remap ECU to default,
Windows tinted,
STI Lamco boost gauge,
Powdercoat 17" OZ summer-wheels and fit new tyres

The Type R Project...

Where do you begin... :icon_rolleyes:

plans may have changed on this might try and get a respray next week
have to see what price my mate will do it
have a spare grand there just want both sides and bumpers done
do bonnet bumper roof at a later date
think he quoted 1400 before
so fingers crossed he will do it for that price
hes a bit pricey but have always used him
and I do work for him also so cant really go anywhere else
ill offer him the grand tuesday see how it goes

Fit Exedy clutch
fit de cat up pipe
fit quick shift kit
fit intercooler sprayer kit
heat wrap down pipe
suspension upgrades and more whiteline stuff

"project 400 " if i ever get my finger out and stop spending money on shite !!! :hammerhead: :hammerhead:

I've spent near 8k this year on mine so no big plans for it in 2012. General service and maintenance and maybe some suspension mods are on the cards.
Perhaps some new brakes but then I would need new wheels so undecided on those.

Remove all surface rust from underneath the car caused by being driven in the snow the last 2 winters.. Nothing serious but rather address it now while the car is off the road anyway.

Cosworth baffle plate (hopefully) and full service including all fluids along with new timing belt.

Remap for Milltek 3" exhaust (already on car), 3 port, performance filter and resonator delete once the car is back on the road. Thinking of heat wrapping the downpipe also. Want to keep the engine bay looking standard when you look in

Also needs a going over by the dent man, a full paint correction detail, couple of bits painted and wheels refurbed.

Will also be on the lookout for a second set of alloys which seem hard to come by in a 5x114 pcd that I can put a set of track tyres on.

And finally, I will be getting the suspension set up right and then if i get to the point that I want to improve the handling some more, I will get some whiteline gear

keep an eye on scoobynet , the newage widetrack wheels seem to pop up fairly regular , not mad money either , there was a silver set on donedeal a while back in waterford , might be worth a look , off a spec d id imagine

I've finally made up my mind!

Keeping the 626 as my daily, it's absolutely bullet proof and in ridculously good shape for it's age so it wont be losing any resale value really. Father is getting rid of his car as he doesn't drive anymore other than the van for work. Buy a classic, get some drop in security pillars and a good alarm and it'll be left in the garden and I'll use it on the weekend/special occassions.

The classic itself I haven't decided whether to buy a nice specced one ready made and have fun straight away or buying a rolling shell and give it an STI Tuning treatment. Decisions decisions but hopefully should be sorted before mid Feb if I've budgeted myself right!

Areyou tsalking about the resonator on the bottom of the airbox Robbie? Also where you going to get the suspension setup? I'll be looking at similar place for mine when i get all the whitline gear on along with new tyres etc

rb wheels are well over priced imo , fair enough 3 are like new but the dent in the 4th wheel is a sale killer , @ 850 pounds as the buy it now price id rather buy a set of speedlines or ultra leggeras new ,
