Hi folks, a discussion thread if you will.
I'm currently looking into getting coilovers as a replacement for the original bilsteins that are in my Legacy.
I am aware that coilovers may be too rough for a car that will be primarily used as a daily (which it is) with some fast road use thrown in from time to time. But I am not interested in any lowering spring solutions due to being unabled to get replacement bilstein shocks that would be suitable. Although new top mounts from pedders might work? I don't know.
I've been saving and seriously considering BR series BC Racing coilovers with softer springs (5,5kg/5kg or softer), but have recently stumbled across the coilover producer Nitron, specifically the Nitron R1 - R3 line.
Now, don't get me wrong, they are seriously expensive. And I mean seriously expensive. They are almost 2.5 times more expensive than the BC's I'm considering - but does this mean they are doubly better?
But... is anyone running them, or know of anyone running them in either a Legacy or an Impreza? If they really are that much better than the BC's, I do think I'd be better off saving for those instead of the BC's.
If anyone can weigh in I'd appreciate it.
