2005 STi Spec C

Budget day bump!! Now that everyone will be getting loads more money in their pay packet, they can treat themselves:))

Offers for tayto and meanies from donedeal have been rejected but only 1 person has come to view the car on behalf of a guy in the uk and I turned down their offer. I would like to see the car go to a genuine enthusiast so there will be a little wriggle room for isdc members:)

Hehe, as an American, I dont fully understand the budget thing, hopefully some extra cash next year or month?

I DO understand selling a work of art for family-related goals! I had five cars (2 of which were dream cars), for love and life that lead me here.

1969 Mustang - 12 year ownership Dream car
2004 WRX Sti - 2 year ownership 415BHP Dream car
1991 Legacy Sport Sedan 5 year ownership & daily driver nod to Colin McRae
1998 Forester S Overlander beast
1991 Legacy L SHTF car
---------------------------------------
Being where I want to be in life = priceless! There will always other dream cars!

And yes, way killer car!

There's a project section if you become a member where you can put all the cars you like but I'm trying to sell a car here.

New price is €14k ono if the car goes in the next few weeks.

Donedeal is unbelievable! I fecking hate selling cars in this country!!

Buyer: Is she mint boss?
Me: Define your version of "mint"..
Buyer: Like, as she came out of the factory..
Me: Then no, its a ten year old car that has done 90,000kms. Bodywork is excellent but it has a few light stone chips on the bumper and bonnet so not mint by your definition.
Buyer: Ah, thats nothing. What's the lowest you'll take on it, boss?
Me: The price is in the add.
Buyer: You'll have to do better than that for me boss, its a long drive up to Dublin.
Me: We could work something out I'm sure, what money are you talking and we'll see if there's any point in you making the trip.
Buyer: Sure you'd let it go for 10 cash to me. I'm a genuine buyer and I'd bring cash with me tomorrow.
Me: There's no point in you making the trip. I'm glad you're a genuine buyer but the car won't be leaving for anywhere close to that.
Buyer: But I'm a genuine buyer and I'll bring cash.
Me: What good is that to me? The car won't leave for anywhere close to that.
Buyer: But its a long drive and I bring cash.
Me: No thanks, goodbye!

Haha its such a pain in the a*s! When i was selling my last motor (saab 93 aero) i had the same guy email me, then txt me and finally ring me all overing about half of what i had it up for.
I lost my cool towards the end of the phone call and let him know exactly where he could go and the part of his body he could shove his offer. Then he started trying to haggle again almost coming up to my asking, so i just said as far and your concerned this car is sold and hung up.

Very emotional night tonight, found it incredibly difficult to let it go in the end but its gone to good friend who i know will give it a very good home and I know it will be maintained to a very high level.

The very best of luck to the new owner, he's familiar enough with the place so I'll let him reintroduce himself with the new car:))

Thanks lads, gonna spend the rest of the night listening to broken hearted love songs, haha!!

But seriously, it needed to be done so I'm more than happy with how everything turned out in the end. Now I can concentrate on the house and the baby due in less than a fortnight!!

Congrats Robbie

Great it's staying in Club cars getting rare here now

I had a car a few years back I had to let go when We had our first born
I was quiet sad and cried the night it went no messing
never regretted it as it was the right thing to do
typically the car was bought bye someone close bye
and I now park beside it in the school car park every day
2 years ago whilst being in the blue saxo
so imagine how I felt then :icon_biggrin:
but still never regretted it
I'm actually now thinking about asking him if he is selling it to give me first offer
I never told him I owned it as I felt it would be awkward every morning when we are at the school
but my point is
as hard as it was it was the right choice and I never once regretted it
There does come times in Your life when cars have to take a back seat
making that decision correctly makes the the Man and not the car
so well done Robbie and enjoy the magical Journey you are about to begin in the next few weeks

Well I am that lucky boy that picked up the spec c
It all started a few months ago when I went out for a spin with Rob, it's an itch I always wanted to scratch
Over the moon with it its savage car and a credit to Rob paint is flawless sooooooo smooth (let's see how long that lasts lol)
Some smile on my face driving home like a kid with a new toy.
Thanks again Rob and as promised if I ever do sell you have first refusal.
