Hello Lads,
I would never drive a RWD car in this type of weather after having the Scooby
I bought a Mazda RX-8 in 2004, after having a 2001 Turbo Wagon
The first winter I had with the car, I went to go up a hill with a bit of snow / ice on it
Really scary moment..... traction control kicking in @ 3000rpm and car sliding sideways........
I had to stop the car, turn the car off (to "Really" turn off the traction control
) as pressing the traction control off button did not "really" turn the traction control off
With the traction control off, it took me ages to get the RWD car up this hill
After that I swore I would get back into a AWD car & have not looked back since
The car has been brilliant over the last couple of weeks & with the control available I would not trust any RWD or FWD car in this type of weather again
Cheers,
Michael
