best mod?

well mind is made up im definately geting ecutec done with dave,just have to think now if il change turbo or not.im very tempted.dont want to fit huge turbo because i wont be going for crazy power so it would just be a waste,let me know what turbo ye think would be best for the power im after,330bhp-340bhp
 
Dave has those new Vf48s which are a great price for new turbo and will do the job for you..
 
ya was thinking about one of them alright,they're a great price at what he's selling them for.and i think he only has a few left.are they a straight bolt on do ya know?

straight bolt on..got one fitted last week..highly recommended.nice difference over the vf28

Is the spool as fast as with VF28? is there any more lag maybe?

tmic is safe no probs, fmic if can afford no probs either.. spool is so slightly later regards the extra power its a positive without doubt imo.. deco c can confirm..

Boost area 1.4 bar standard engine. On tmic a genuine subaru factory clutch will hold no prob.
 
good to know dave,thanks.will get on to ya if im gonna take one of those turbos,depending on if you have any left.new clutch is going in soon and gonna fit 2nd box as im at it.hopefully be ready for june mapping.

Yeah mine is running 1.4 bar..Standard clutch and tmic..There is slightly more lag but it pulls alot better through the revs..I found the vf28 runs out of puff far to early for me..You dont even notice the difference in lag after a couple of days.Plus dave fitted a 3-port so that and with it being a brand new turbo shes boosting alot smoother with no spiking.

For the price Dave is asking for these you really wont do better for the money.
