That is one ugly car.
Anybody who has insurance with a company is entitled to be insured regardless of what they buy. It's called insurer of last resort. All you do is get refused elsewhere and your insurance company must quote you on what you have. If they give you a bananas quote, you can refer it to the ombudsman.
Most companies grow a brain if you threaten them with this course of action and give you a reasonable quote. I've had to do it everytime I've changed car, especially last time.
When I went to insure the Evo they asked me what all the letters after the model number stood for, given my obligations under uberriame fidae I duly explained MR; Mitsubishi Racing; FQ Fooking Quick (yes that is actually what it stands for); 340 , 340 HP.
After much laughter I was politely to told to forget about it.
I then said, 'I've had several refusals and you are my insurer of last resort, you have to quote and any stupid quotes will be referred'.
The result was a very small hike in premium. Happy days, give it a go yourselves.
