car lost power on m4 !!!!!!

ah man, hopefully it is and it'll be some good news at last. I hope its just a Maf mate and you'll be up and running again shortly :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
 
well got car back yesterday and running perfect :dunno: he said he didn't know what happened. glad it was nothing in end but i put in 2 rough weeks worrying!!! would ahve preferred to have got a reason for losing power but o harm done in the end. got timing belt tensioner done and oil and oil filter changed. wants it back again during week to look over just to make sure and got go get new starter motor as its lazy and fan plug and door light sticking. nothing major thank god. ah well alls well that ends well. have to say a special thanks to davelegacy who i rang annoying a number of times during this ordeal and always had time to listen and give advice.

jesus you were lucky there mate, same thing happened to me a few months back, car broke down wouldnt start then after days of fiddling around under the bonnet it just started right up :dunno: kinda head wrecking when you dont know what went wrong :ponder:
 
ya head wrecking all right but main thing is everything ok now. im afraid subaru's are just like the opposite sex.........tempremental !!!!!!!!!!
 
That's great to hear! you got her sorted!
A lot of the time when a car breaks down it's just a loose conection on a wire or a pipe somewere or some thing very simple like that!
If something like this happens again unplug and plug bach every connector you can find under the bonnet and check your fuses!
My first experiance with Davlegacy was the same! I blow the engine in my car and I must have wrecked his head with constant phone calls untill he got her sorted a week later!

ya especially when told best case scenario in a rebuild is 1500 and worse 5500............... with new house i can afford neither :subaru:
