as above lads what were your rally car heros when you were a young teenager ???at the top of my list was the ford escort cosworth for me this was what it was suppose to be like loads of noise ,speed ,and aggressive as f**k to look a

and this is what happens when you give a wrc escort to a swiss hillclimber 600+ bhp and awesome anti-lag

Sierra Cosworth or manta 400 meant the most to me as a wee boy
Although the escort cosworth would be the one I have wanted to own the most
Awesome video that second one :icon_headbang:

Frankly, my child favourite car was Impreza, Spent soo much time playing all the Rally Games, in top with Colin Mcrae Rally 1&2 and remember like it was yesterday, how disappointed I was, that in CMR2 you started with that ugly Focus :(

It may have been ugly but it was possibly the best rally car Ford ever made

I beg to differ Dec....

maybe not in outright wins jay but for technical ability it was an awesome car from the first in 99 up the last in 2010.The Ford Focus RS WRC appeared in 173 World Rally Championship events, winning 44 and collecting 142 podium places that's some record for a car model in modern wrc

Agree with Integrale... friend bought 2 cars plus spares of the UK Martini team when they wound up in the early 90s. Rallied one here in Ireland for a while and had the pleasure to co-drive last minute one day when his normal co-driver couldn't make it -- "just be quiet and hold on... I know these roads...!" -- and then I was hooked on SS tarmac rallying :changinggear:

After that GT4 (Carlos Sainz) by Austin and various Imprezas by Bertie!

Though find that a good Mark I or II has something real special about it, and same with Darrian... Not too keen on more modern Fords, but fond memories of Stephen Murphy's Escort WRC's Anti Lag bangs on the stages! ... and I could probably go on and on and on... :santasmiley
