clutch problem maybe??

right lads i was stopped in traffic awhile ago and when i let out the clutch and moved a few feet i heard a fierce noise like a dodgy fan belt slipping or something, when i put her into second and let out the clutch as i was driving along i got the same noise and a vibration tru the pedal....it doesnt happen in any of the other gears while driving and it happens aswell when i gear down into second and let out the clutch :ponder2:.....and it kind of shudders along for a few feet aswell.....
could it be a release bearing problem or something?
ive the nct on thursday and the track day friday so this is all i fecking need right now :angry1:
 
Im goina throw it out there and suggest that the clutch may be warped or near dead?

Not sure if ya can warp a clutch really but defo sounds like its not right!!! (stating the odvious there lol)
 
theres no chance its a diff problem is there?
I know its a stab in the dark.... I probably know less than you do But an outside thought might help

ive her booked in for an nct pre-test on wednesday with me mechanic so ill just get him to see whats up with the fecking money pit now...

Same problem as that lad,only started last week,sounds like a screeching tyre or loose fanbelt only coming from bellhousing area....
Happens only when letting up clutch normally in first,for a split second.I have a 5 paddle exedy clutch,has only been in the car a year
and a half.Please let me know what your mechanic thinks?cheers...
 
What year and model are the 2 cars?
What mileage is on them?
Just wondering if there are any major similarities!!!!

92 legacy rs...155k miles...clutch changed 2 years ago.....

clutch isnt slipping though and it drives away grand up and down the gears only for the sreeching noise and shudder when taking off from a complete stop......

noise is now happening in reverse 1st,2nd,3rd when i leave out the clutch goin up tru the gears :angry1:
 
crank pulley is fine its definetly something to do with the clutch....if i put it into 1st and let out the clutch until it bites the noise starts then.....
