do small litre cars try to overtake you??

hi all i noticed lately that when im driving on main roads that you have the likes of glanzas, 1.4 corollas, levins trying to overtake me stupid or what :lol: :subaru:

does it happen to any of you :ponder:
 
was goin down m50 about three weeks ago and a tractor lawnmower passed me , ok so it was on the back of a lorry but it still passed me out !!

some people make more of an effort to ride the rear bumper of your car coz its a scooby or evo....
everyone has a dream but a gimped out hot hatch is hardly gonna fufill it!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the time ppl do it just so you will pass them, like they WANT to be overtaken by a scoob.. not worth the juice if u ask me :lol:
 
sometimes i let them by cause i know there goin to go back to there dumbass friends and say....''blew past a b4 in me shivic today man....bleedin left him sittin''
but more often than not i sink it in 3rd and embarress them :twofinger:
 
The majority of them just want to see you send the car on, I don't bother most of the time lol
 
waste of petrol, its getting expensive these days, im starting to cringe at the sound of turbo spool now :lol:
 
I generally drive quiet "briskly" so I can't actually recall anyone coming up behind me :? :D
I do tend to drop the boot when overtaking to give people an ear full if I think they would appreciate it! :thumbsup:

seriously though, once on the move they aren't so bad!

Oh can you imagine driving along in your scooby and a civic aproaching from behind, you drop the boot but he sails on past you with a big (HA HA) as he goes by, That would be the stuff of nightmares! ( he would have to have a supercharched K20 under the bonnet) but still possible i suppose) :shock:

I had an experience with a K20'd civic, Ill tell you this, they are quick, and if you had a standard STI they would beat it, sorry lads Im just speaking the truth, and I hate civics and anything Naturally asperated.

I had a supercharged B16A before, 240hp and not much weight, came across a scooby WRX on the M50.... went sailing by, he was disgusted :lol:
 
A classic wrx and a civic SIR not even a type r have around the same power to weight..more torque but if your in the right gear..

To be fair, there are a few things I hate being behind me in the pit lane at mondello, and civics are defo one of them!
they are little flyers around the track! I just can't imagine being happy with out a turbo :headbanger:

I learned to drive fast in a VZR so I like high lift cams..it had an 8lb fidanza flywheel so she revved up really fast all the way to 8250rpm..if you keep them singing their great fun..139mph in a 1.6 not to sniffed at either
 
I had a bit of fun in a honda S2000 a while ago!
On the open road once you get up in the revs ie. over 6500prm she revved quickly up to (i think) 9500rpm or something stupidly high like that!
Butr on exiting a roundabout in second gear, I put the boot down and .............. nothing, untill I was maybe 50 meters away from the roundabout and the revs climbed,
I would have had to dropped to 1st to get good drive out of it, and I was doing about 30 kph :?
Give me a turbo spooling at 3000rpm anyday :headbanger: the high revs are fun but I think the novilty would wear of pretty quick
