Octane Boostaholics
Car is boosting at 1.2 bar max lately, It was mapped to boost at about 1.5 BAR peak. I'm also getting a bit of detonation aswell at about 5k rpm under full load, which is more worrying than the loss of boost. Power levels are also down from 270 to 240hp@fly The only change i made since the tune was a cat back exhaust system.

Is there any mechanical issues that could cause this or what i can check for? Simon said i should drive off boost until i can get tweak map to sort det out or use some NF. :dontknow:

Its been like that for a while, once i get my laptop back working ill be able to check it myself, hopefully the det isnt a constant problem.

I did use some of that BG 44K in my fuel tank about 2 weeks ago, maybe that cleaned all the shite out of the engine but it clogged up somewhere?
 
I thought I was havin boost problems duri the snow, turned out to be the fact that I just couldn't get the power down thank god, it's all grand now. Ya never know that stuff you used could have clogged sumwhere alright, seriously down on power tho.

or maybe just dodgy setup on the dyno, but defo a bit of det so i need to look after that first i think, just keep some NF in the tank until i can get it sorted. VF36 plus FMIC would be nice to have on for remap in march!
