I've taken the plunge, I payed Davelegacy (STI Tuning) the depost yesterday,
I've been saving for about 2 years for this, But the skyline is after eating up my turbo fund!
I told Dave what I wanted form the car and he came up with the following package,
She'll be run in and ready to be mapped end of november,
Next year if I can afford it, I'll go for the Big turbo, Front mount intercooler, top mounted oil cooler, Simtek and anything else I need!
In the meantime we'll make the best of the 20g

1, Full steel built 2.5 engine with slightly higher compression ratio (for better responce and more torque) and slightly overbored with bigger pistons (a few more cc's )
2, Fancy head gaskets
3, APR head studs
4, All gaskets and stuff
5, All fluids and stuff
6, Strongest possible clucth as close to standard feel as possible
7, light weight fly wheel
8, Group N engine and gearbox mounts
9, Prodrive baffled sump
10, New Sti8 intercooler (a bit bigger than mine)
11, Oil catch tank
12, Map for a bit more boost on the 20g (I can't afford a big turbo just yet, So We'll make the most of the 20g for the moment)
13, Uprated oil pump
14, Fuel pressure reg
15, 1.5 way limited slip diff (to keep the arse out on track)

That's it, I'll keep you posted on our progress!

Sounds great Dan best of luck with it.
What rods and pistons are ya using mate?

He gave me 2 options regarding pistons and rods, I just said which ever is best!
the only other thing I could have gone for is cylinder liners, for much more than 500 bhp, But Dave said not to waste me money if I don't intend to go that far with the "family car" also lag and response issues with turbos big enough to run 500+bhp
So we've decided that a fast spooling and responsive mid to late 4's with savage torque is what we are ultimately aiming for,
That will have to wait and see how things go early next year, maybe before the first trackday in march '09
Thanks for the coments lads
Dan
