Hi all, new to the forums. Just wanted to say hi!

I must confess that I don't yet own a Subaru but I'm hoping to purchase a lowly 1.6 impreza this weekend (please don't judge me! lol). I know it's nothing amazing but it's a start! Scandalous insurance means I can't afford anythin above that at the moment!

Any buying advice?

1.6 is great starting point on scooby ownership , alot of us started with them ,

pretty much bullet proof , just the usual stuff to look for ie service history accident damage repaired etc etc

Alot of people here started in non turbos myself included, some have even gone back for one reason or another :thumbsup:

All that matters is the badge on the front :subaru:

dont worry if its a 1.6 or anything up to a 2.5
a scoob is a scoob and we wont judge you cause its hard to get insurance on anything bigger!!!!
We all (doesnt matter about age) struggle to justify the price of our insurances!!!!

No one on here will judge you for driving a 1.6 :subaru:

My first three Imprezas where 1.6 models and although I did reach the dizzy height of STi ownership three times also I am now in a 2.0 none turbo and no one on here has ever judge in anyway other then to give great advice no matter what car I had and to comment on any mods I have ever done.

Best of luck with the car when you get it and happy Subaru driving. You'll love it. :subaru:
