hello, need info on subaru please.

mate you done the right thing telling him where to go,cheeky pr1ck he knew you were interested in the car and was chancing his arm,the 02-05 are a great car comfort and handling are unreal and if you can afford the insurance the car and more importantly the insurance get an sti bulletproof reliability, power and looks to match

Mine is still there. Not subaru blue but has a fresh engine, clutch, timing belt, oil pump, water bump the list goes on and has just passed NCT. It's Irish and standard other then the back box and 18" wheels. You won't get better for the money.

I loved fresh nct bit and how spotless discription he had. I just love my mechanic/friend, he took us to local garage and asked fella for a lift to check car. 10eu and we had it up for full check up 70km from home and his workshop. :D so what we sow under? Silicon instead of some bushings. Leaking rear shock, super rusty brake lines! No way it passed on its own! 99% bough or connections.
With droped price it would be a not bad deal, because I would sort it myself, but his cheekiness amd 300eu increased price just pissed me off.

Btw you can't pm on this forum? And one more question: pro drive is a jap import Sti?

well, can you send me latest photos of it. inside and engine bay. maybe some under? ( basic ). ill show to misses too, if she will like it, i might give you an offer ( not less money, i am willing to pay full price ) you might be intrested, but thats if you are confident enough in your car.

i cant see the way pm works here, but if you can can you email me pics then? [email protected]

If you become a Full member the pms work just fine :)
Cant send pms untill then im afaraid.

No worries, its common that new guys think the pms should work, likes of DTD etc etc they do work without membership i think.

Yup it's subaru blue, 02c is the colour code, I'll email ya tomorrow with details and a few more pics.

She is an Import and yes they need to be mapped. Legacy Dan has one and would be the best man to talk to about them. He'll be along soon. Rare enough alright.

Need to be a full club member to be able to PM

What is your insurance situation like? Are you getting quotes?

I am 26 with 5 ncb. It should not be a problem. They always say that they not insure stuff. They told me, I have to be 35 to insure mx5... Bought car then called to update insurance - 200eu extra on insurance. Same way skyline. Subaru will be same.

I wouldnt be too sure about that.
Subarus can be a different ball game all together,i wouldnt be foolish and buy without having insurance sorted first.
There is guys on here who have had there cars insured and on renewal were told they wouldnt cover the car anymore

19-20 mpg realistic, 25-30 mpg overly optimistic imo.

Best of luck with the remainder of your car hunt

Thanks, I have already talked to Eric about his Subaru. He is really sound fella, but bejaysus that Dublin accent! I barely understood him! :D ( I am foreigner, so my English is not great, specially over phone :) ). Great car, but it's an opposite of what I am looking for. I will need to do full respray and alloy change, change those quad headlights ( hate them ) etc. it will be a very expencive 01 wrx if I am getting it for 3k ( I am not saying price is bad for it btw)
I need to get quotes from workshops, but i am working like a slave now, so after work all I want to do is: bottle of miller and die under the table.

lads. what is the best place online for aftermarket stuff for subaru? i want to have a look at somne stuff and do costings etc.

Depends on what your after mate.

http://www.scoobyparts.co.uk/ are great but there are loads of tuning places like RCM for top end stuff. Traders on here like STi tuning do most parts and upgrade parts to then there are breakers. These can be good for parts.
