Mine will probably be coming up for sale in the next week or two if ur still looking. Theres a thread in subaru cars for sale with a few pics of it. A full member on here has pm'd me about it and its only fair that I give him first dibs on it before officially putting it back up for sale. But if he dosent want it will then it will be fair game after that

Looks like a good one @AxelF :yellowthumb:

What bhp does it have? 227bhp + four wheel drive?

I'm just taking a guess here lads. Correct me if I'm Wrong.

Cheers

Alright Lads!

Thanks for all the advice! Jack has been keeping me updated daily on the progress with the car. Although was told it might be sold as is (with this mysterious whine)

I am interested in the car, if all these problems are sorted and the money is right, as id be willing to put a few quid into getting it back to standard.

I am still a bit concerned about the car and its condition. This would be my first Subaru and really do not want to be disappointed.

All we can do is hope the 'whine' problem is solved and that the compression test comes back good.

A good map would then be on the cards :p

Again cheers for all the help,

Richard

Why are you still even contemplating this car?

 good man as the noise in that car could be coming from the cat cos it hasn't being fed in 3 weeks :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:

Yes its a standard WRX and would have had 227 horses originally but Id say one or two have escaped over the years and all subarus are four wheel drive. :xmas_cheers:

Great looking car but think I'd like an STi

You should have no problem selling that WRX though, it's a beaut!

check you insurance richard at 22 it wont be cheap if you get anyone at all to quote you

I love the way people get hung up on sti imprezas a well driven Wrx stock can keep pace with a sti

its like which is most appealing the beautiful flat chested girl or the beautiful girl with big jugs , you know which your going to gravitate towards

Hey lads, on my daily 1999 Toyota celica st202 it's €900 a year fully comp (jap import declared also)

I rang last week and gave them a reg of a known Subaru Sti and it cost €100 to change over till July. (My renewal month)

I don't know what it would cost when renewing. Presumable a bit above €900.

The only plus is I have no major expenses and earn good money at the moment.

So you're saying a stock Impreza @ 227bhp can keep up with a stock STi @ 260+ bhp?
Not being smart, genuinely asking. (Bhp figures could be wrong too)

Then you should be Ok on the insurance front man, obviously the sti is the better car or else why would subaru have bothered building them in the first place, but in the real world say on your favourite backroad the gap between an sti and a wrx is very small the wrx is a very capable car just don't discount owning one because it's only a wrx. Keep an open mind you might actually find a really nice wrx with some mods in your budget and you won't be disappointed you didn't buy an sti that's all man
