well lads, went out for a meal tonight at 7pm to celebrate my birthday, 1st time all 5 of my family have been out together in ages. took the wifes car and left the subaru in the garden. came back at 9pm to find front door opened as i was backing the car in. jumped out and as went in the door i found my back door open also. ran upstairs and my bedroom was like a bomb hit it, stuff thrown all over the place. it was ransacked. its the only room in the house done, no other rooms were opened . we must of disturbed them and they ran out the back door as heard us backing the car in. my house in in the middle of 10 houses in a row and a row of other houses directly across from it. lock was snapped in door from bar wedged into it and footprint on door also . just lucky we came back when we did. laptops , jewellery, mobiles etc etc still on bedroom floor. police reckon they wanted the subaru.a few neighbours heard a bang but didnt bother looking out to see , i live in the blanchardstown area lads so be careful tonight incase they look for another, need to sort new locks now and have an alarm organised for monday for house. have an old clifford on the car so might look into upgrading that also,

Chances are its another cash for gold robbery with the intention of takin the car aswell.......

since that cash for gold service started in Ireland breakin numbers have gone mental all together....
 
Pity you didnt trap the thievin mong in the bedroom ...
leather the head off him and then take him for a spin BEHIND the subaru ,
 
cheers lads, the worse effect it has now is on my 3 kids, absolutely terrified they are to sleep in their own rooms. still cant get my head around it this moning.

Christ Jackswagon that's shocking thank God no one was hurt , or any valuables stolen .

I know you'd probably would have loved to catch one of those bastards upstairs but with wife

Maybe it might be no harm to park your car else ware , (family members house etc....) until all new alarms etc are fitted.

Terrible thing to have happen. It could have been a lot worse. If I go out and leave the subaru at home I take both sets of keys with me.
