hey guys! my insurance is up for renewal soon! im currently with Quinn but want to try and see if anywhere else will cover me! im with them as they were the only ones who would go near me on the Legacy B4, so my hand was forced,

i have been looking at a few other cars to get but it seems that no one (that i can find) will touch me on an Impreza, 200sx etc i can get insured on an Altezza and Glanza etc but TBH they are too common and to slow

im quite young, 23 and only 3 years NCB, license for 4 years, one years named driver

do you guys know of any good places or ways around it?? not ways around insurance haha but ways to get me insured :icon_biggrin:

i know there is a way as i have an acquaintance whos younger than me whos had an S15, Celica GT4 and now driving an Evo 7 and has been for a few years

any help would be great :)

Chris

oh guys! 28 views and no replies? are none of you insured??

this would really helpa fellow Scooby owner :)

:1poke:

being so young quinn is prob your best bet , last week i(32) switched for axa to the aa throught axa , and then axa come back at the 11 th hour trying to match , i told him he should of done that to start with and to call me next year !

I'm with 123.ie
I'm 29 and have 10 years ncb in my own name plus 2 years named drivers
And it was difficult enough to get insurance for me

You could try xs direct, but the excess will be very high on the policy. Basically paying for a disc in the windscreen.

Nobody would insure me except Quinn on my Impreza. I got this insurance when I was 22, last June, and I only had 1 year No Claims Bonus and it was €2200. The policy was up in October so I decided to chance that it would go down.....and it did :multijump:

My insurance is up in October and I am hoping it will go down again

Plus Quinn allows you to drive other peoples cars......which is pretty sweet :653:

I was thinking about getting myself a S15 because the insurance was only €1K......but decided against it :subaru:

imprezas are incredibly hard to insure no matter your age and ncb, especially the sti's. for example my dad is 56 with well over 30years ncb and even he finds it hard getting insured on a jdm impreza sti. best of luck with ringing around

Just make sure you try around before leaving Quinn. My mate tried getting insured from Quinn, who he was already with, and they said they don't insure Impreza's. He said "Well my mate is insured with ye so ye do" and Quinn said no, your wrong, we don't insure them :cuckoo:

So he then went, got insured elsewhere and told Quinn that he was leaving. They insisted he talked to a manager and he then offered him insurance. Because they were so rude on the phone before hand he told them to f**k off

I hate insurance companies...... :comp26:

im with axa and got my renewal just after christmas this year for 1400 so i said i'd ring around, i was 28 at the time with 7 year NCD and had a full licence and no one would touch me because of the car or the place i lived, so i called into my local axa branch and had a yap face to face and kinda told a few little lie's about getting quotes else where, in a matter of 10 minutes i walked out with fully comp insurance for just over a grand

fully comp on the legacy €550 for myself+the wife with AXA. Went ahead with this+out of boredom a week later went online for quotes.123.ie offered same cover for €380 !!!!. Rang AXA back but direct debit already set up+payment taken. Will be shopping around next year+wont make the same mistake again. {it helps that i'm an oul lad of 39} !!!

Heres proof if needed that insurance is a load of bollox. I changed from my old 01 B4 to an 03 B4-simple straight transfer you'd imagine-but no-my insurance went down €68. Not complaining but why???? Anyway its now €590!!

Was with AXA on my old B4 as well, they offered a much better quote than quinn. Was with Quinn in year 1 and then moved for 3 years

Forget the online quote! once you put in wrx or sti it wont quote.
Best to ring up and shop around
