insurance

I've gotten quotes from Britton €1200 and Chill.ie €1050 so I wont be staying with Quinn.

i find its some pain trying to get insured on these cars, most companies wont insure you at all no matter what your ncb is

Just renewed with quinn now, went up €80 to €661 since last year.Put the wifes name on aswell and brought it down €607 :multijump:
hope ye get sorted lads

And they expect customers to stay loyal? How do they expect to come out of administration by screwing their customers?

received a cheque from my insurance crowd today for €336. I then read the letter to see that they have cancelled my insurance.........!!!!!!!!!!! obviously, i didnt ask them to cancel it, why would i do that? :icon_rolleyes:

I changed cars recently and they sent me a new disc after I sent them some additional €. Then I get this letter today.

Going to have to be really careful driving about until i get this sorted........

Did you call them to see what the crack is? Did you miss any payments? Is it Quinn Direct?

Steve.

I would have thought you shouldn't be driving around at all. Phone them up and ask for an explanation asap.

@hiwd \ AndyC I got home at 6.30pm and only opened the letter then (it just arrived today). I'm with Alliance via Glennon brokers. I rang up straight away but all i got was a prerecorded message to say their hours are from 9 to 5.30. I tried some of their other phone numbers but just got the same message.

Dont worry, I'll be ringing on the stroke of 9 tomorrow. What's worse is, the letter says the cancellation is effective as and from the 9th. So i presume I have not had any insurance for a week. I would have thought such a serious instruction would have warranted it to be in writing. The way it seems now, anyone could read your policy number from the windscreen and cancel your insurance by ringing up. All they'd probably need to know is your dob but even so, this is ridiculous. I really can't believe it. I hope i dont get some BS tomorrow about having to start up a new policy from tomorrow.

Just got off the phone there. They made a mistake but were really apologetic. I suppose that was obvious really. I'm to send back the lovely cheque they sent me and they are to issue a new disc and certificate.

All's well that ends well. These things happen i suppose......

Who are you insured with?

That is too good to be true and I would question the details about that. Im 30 with 8 years no claims and got increase of 25%

I'm with Quinn, yeah I know it is and that's y I'm getting the papers signed and posted ASAP haha

Wow that's unreal! That's a massive increase!!

Big_red I would seriously look over every detail of your policy and make sure it is correct. That quote just doesn't make sense for a 22 year old on an Impreza compared to my 25% increase at 30 years of age.

Well my renewal just came in from quinn

only when up a little so i dont mind.

its €1067.23

im very happy only when up 100 euro.
since no other company will insure me i cant complain with that :multijump:
