Irelands Top Driving Roads

There's a fantastic short cut for me , normally used going
to and from meets :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:

Come off the Fermoy Bypass at Rathcormac, take the Rathcormac to Midleton road ,
it's mental...................... very, very fast...............most of the surface is excellent and the
road is surprisingly wide. There is aprox 200 corners if not more, it's just completely fully with twisty's
and it's great fun wet or dry !!!!

Niall.

Took a spin across Sally Gap this morning. Nice bit of road.

Having a great time until a sheep took exception to me stopping and decided to charge at the front of the car!!! :angry1:

@ north dublin

that road in sligo was used on the wrc event and is the stage that gronholm went off on. brilliant road

knockalla is hard bet, search youtube for kris meeke knockalla and it shows the whole stage in some 1600 yoke. serious pilot on serious stage

The trim road, the one going from the N3. Great road! :D
[/quote]

Have to agree this is a great road all the way to Trim. If you keep going past Trim on the road to Athboy there are some great s bends and a hump back bridge to test the spoilers!

Frawls

The N9..always had fun drives on this road when I was living in Waterford, driving up and down at the weekend...pity it goes through so many towns! :angry1:
Oh and the back roads from Clondalkin to Baldonnel...short (ish) but fun to drive

Down the Rathmines end of the canal on a nice summer day...so you're guaranteed to sit in traffic no matter what time of day but the women :icon_omg: :icon_biggrin:

The trim road, the one going from the N3. Great road! :D

Fecking love that road!

did molls gap and healys pass on sat in a mk1 escort, great fun
spun it on one the first hairpins on healys pass  but to my defence Kris Meeke did spin at the same place on last years historic rally of the lakes in a mk2

Yeah cheers Dan...you're a "pleasure" to drive in front of! Next meet we're goin to somewhere that has bumper cars... Might be more suited to you!!

Rob

I collected herself from work and we decided to go for a spin so I went the road we done on the night meet from Stepaside to bohernabreena over the mountains much to my delight.
There was no one else on the road but they were very flippin slippy with all the dirt and gravel being washed down it, Up with the handbrake on any tight junctions

Good spin - must do again soon :icon_biggrin:

The back roads from Swords to Ashbourne at 6 in the mornin.
Not a car on the road, nice and twisty.

Chris...there are some sweet roads over in Scotland...like the N81 only much much longer and better, would be worth a weekend trip, cabins on the lakeside to stay in and all!

And no I'm not inviting you on a gay weekend away

You shud know this one chris, its a short one but still a great drive, from the summit inn in Howth to Sutton Cross, lots of hills, twists and turns and a couple of straights, great for some spirited driving
