Knocking when turning

I notice a sort of clunk coming from something on the front suspension. It only happens when turning at low speeds . My dad said it sounds like a bad cv joint? Can anybody confirm this or have a similar problem before? Recently lowered and front bushings replaced. maybe related to this?

my guess would be cv too :dontknow: but as it was just reciently lowered hopefully it will be something simple that just needs to be slipped back into place :ponder2:

ye there was one small issue with one of the top hats not aligned properly causing a rattle but i got that sorted. this is a new noise! how can i checl if the cv joint is bad? what to look for? Expensive repair?

What mileage is on your car?? Check if the boots are damaged, hard to imagine the one of the joints are gone on a car as fresh as yours

if the cv boot was ripped you would see greese on the inside on the wheel, sound like a wheel bearing to me, i dont know if you had to remove the drive shaft to get the struts on but make sure the hub nut is tight. the lower suspension could have put more then usual load on some thing and caused it to go before its time.

As Northdublin says my boot has a small rip and the wheel get covered in greese between washes. I have a bushin gone on the right front to so she knocks all the time when turning and driving strate. So you's is maybe a bearing alright mate. I wouldn't say it's a CV joint.

Happened to me, knocking when turning slowly, turned out to be the centre diff in the gearbox and the whole thing had to be replaced...

lets hope its not that!

Because the car was lowered maybe this could be something like bump steer?
Maybe track rods need to be adjusted.
Hopefully it's something simple and not too expensive

so was parking the car up had the engine turned off and turned the wheel left and right as the car was stationery and you could here the same noise. Going to jack the car up in a bit if i have time and see if i can spot anything damaged

i had a problem that sounded quite similar to this...

turned out the nuts at the top of the strut had come lose and the whole thing had twisted round....check that out also mate

I now have a thick thick thick thick thick thick when turning right. Going to get it checked out and if it's the same as your noise could be the same thing.

I have a similar issue, started off as you describe and got progressively worse... defintie wheel bearing in mine

Car knocks and seems to jerk a bit at low speeds, turning or not, fine when your rolling
