Lowlife and stance nation

I like having the car low but still be able to take it down a back road flat , If I catch a bumper of something it means its to low.

As for the stance cars, some of them are class to look at but wouldnt do it to my own . Id say the wagon in that vid is horrible to drive , it even has quick release bonnet pins fitted to the bumper so he can take it off if needed

Thats not what an Impreza is for .........

Agree with all of that. I think it goes for the majority of performance cars aswell but since its just Subaru club it's good to get our opinions on it. I feel sorry for anyone one of these showcars, it's an expensive fix most of the time.

like the look of some of the stanced scoobs but know it wouldn't work on our roads . even coilovers dont work on anything we call a road over here . been shook to shite every time you drive the car doesn't appeal to me . in a perfect world id have my car set up on a tarmac wrc style suspension and wheel combo and think I'm as close to that with my current suspension as I can go without making the car horrible to drive

i havw to say i love the stanced look with big rims i used to be big into it ,when i had my vts saxo it was dropped 90mm in the rear and 70 mm in the front with 7.5x18" rims it was mental looking took 3 days work to get the rims to fit but i could have 4-5 in the car with no rubbing ,i do agree with the above about the roads and tryin to watch everything so as not to hit the car but i have often taught of putting 19" bbs ch's on my wagon and then bag it but havent had the bottle yet

that would be a mad project Dec , one for when the spec c arrives on your drive ,
Jesus tommy I think one Scooby in any house is enough .would be nice though

i like the look of the stanced scooby's but couldn't live with it, had a classic with 18's one time lovely car, nice to drive but took the 18's of before selling and the week it was back on the standard turbo rims was a joy far more go in it. all said prob put 18's on the blob :scoobyblue_1:but won't drop her to the ground

Personally I wouldn't lower a subaru. Some cars fair enough look well lowered.

My previous car (civic coupe) was lowered when I bought it and it looked well but after a while of scraping and catching every driveway I went up, I wasn't long getting sick of it!!!
:argh:

I agree with Liam, been there done that! :subaru: are to be driven and not worrying about trying to get over speed bumps or in / out drives etc etc

bag the bitch :multijump:

I run my Subaru fairly low on coil overs but on standard size wheels and tyres. Personally once you drop to a 40 profile the trouble starts. There are pros and cons in my opinion on coil overs versus springs.
Pros - Subarus look a lot meaner running low, doesn't bottom out, get you round that corner if you go in too hot on the right side of the road.
Cons - ride comfort definetly compromised when you drop the coil overs low.

If Bilstein made a decent shock for a Subaru and a 40mm spring I would go with that and whiteline brought back there adjustable top mounts.

Only my opinion :multijump:

Not the biggest fan of the dropped on its arse look with 20 degrees camber, I like the scoobies running lowering springs or coilovers as the car is still functional and still gives the car a real aggressive look :scoobyblue_1:

I hate fairly much everything that the younger lads are doing to cars now-firstly.TDI's are not fast. The black roof thing came from the M3 CSL and unless its an actual carbon roof its just ridiculous imo-cars should be all one colour and shiny-no matt black for me!! This sticker bomb crap makes them look like clown cars-its just a way of covering up smashed splitters anyway. Low cars dont work in Ireland, they must be getting tyres for nothing-oh wait-most of them are going around with a couple of steelies on their cars so obviously theyre not. Bucket seats in boxy starlets...brush painted jcb yellow alloys...cut springs...bumpers missing or hanging off...cheap unfocused hid kits...back of the car black because the cat is removed(that stupid sound they make as well)...everyones complete lack of individuality-i could go on
