Maxol E5 ??

that is ONLY pertrol which goes into my car since i had her remapped to suit 99ron

GOOD, BUT DEAR sh*t !

Does every maxol station have e5? I noticed that the e5 stickers are not beside rhe pumps, just says unleaded, also is it any addition if your car is not mapped?

they have to say E5 on the pumps

but don get the impression using E5 will be fine in the long run, its not the best fuel I'm told, though it is stated 99 RON, i am told by a highly regarded mapper, that it burns more like a 97, much like BP Ultimate in the UK is a "97 RON" fuel but burns like a 95, thats why its considered a no no for subarus over there

i think the reason so many Scoobs die over here is because of the fuel, unlike the UK where their 99 is actually 99....

get it mapped... thats what i plan to do,

Surely it would show up on a car getting mapped weather its 99 ron or no better that 95 ron ?
Has anyone got results from mapping this fuel over 95 ron ?

Plenty on here have mapped for E5 and there is a big difference between it and normal 95. it depends what you have readily available in your area though, if you can get it, then map for it

Reason i ask is im reading that the sc42 turbo mapped on uk V power makes it target of 420 with supporting mods on a newage sti but mapped with irish 95ron ....under the 400 mark !
So would the E5 (99 ron) be a match for the uk V power ?

If you take E5 to be 97-98 ron you wont be too far wrong,
Maxol ONLY sell E5 petrol.
If you want to get the Best out of that turbo, use a 20% meth mix in the fuel.. You wont have any issue with RON if you use the meth..... METH IS YOUR FRIEND:)

Im saying there is no Guarantees.. dont be looking at UK figures and Thinking you will get the same.. You could get more you could get less... thats cars..
If you post up what exactly you have under the hood probably a better idea of BHP could be given.

maxol e5 and uk v power are world apart.

supporting mods is widely used term. as ken said all cars differ.

the difference at that level between lets say uk avcs and jdm avcs heads could alone be 15bhp.

Lets say i drop a uk spec sti to the scooby clinic and get all their mods to support their sc420 turbo .(They suggest 420+ on V power )
A)i get it mapped to run 95 ron
B)i get it mapped to run E5 (99 ron)
From what i understand 95 ron wont get me 400 hp on a sc42 turbo !
Would E5 with the higher rating (99 ron) not match their fuel if mapped to its potential ??
If this is a silly question i appolagise in advance .

e5 vs Shell V power at that level again could be difference of 10-15bhp.
10-15 bhp is far better that 50-55 bhp down, getting it mapped on 95 ron .
Thanks for reply  .
