Need help with my claim with the legacy

Very true, but also if the person who took the quote off you and put you on cover put the wrong model car down on the insurance system then its the insurance companies fault, ask them to pull the call to go through it when your saying what make and model to see what you said compared to what was put on the system

exactly. dont they record phone calls? i pulled meteor on that before and they backed down.!
 
They do record them, the system should have the time and date you called so getting the call won't take too long, hope this helps mate :thumbsup:

True. If they refuse to give you or your solicitor a copy of the recorded call threaten them with the data protection act. If they have content relating to you or your belongings, i.e. the car, they've to hand over anything requested, don't they?
 
As far as I remember, when u r calling to Meteor or whatever service where they might record your conversation, they say exactly this phrase: We may (or could) record this conversation for improvement purpose.
So there is a chance that they did not record anything at all... OR say this even if record was made... You won't prove anything... :snooty:
 
I have all phone calls made in writing Plus i was told to sell the car as is Jesus lad what price shoul i sell it at

Stick up a price list, photo's and description of the parts. Only break the car then when you are happy with the response that you get for them.
 
They claim not to record 'all' the phone calls..
I phoned them few years ago to get a quote on a 93 WRX, they said 500 quid extra a year on top of existing policy, not bad at the time (yong and few penalty points).
Bought the car, rang them back and they claimed they never gave me the qoute and refused to insure me ( I didn take down the quote number like gimp)
Car sittin outside my house gets robbed and burned out in sherif st, im 3000 down and axa aren't intertaining me at all. Got onto their main complaints dept and no word of a lie the chap told me... you dont have a leg to stand on,go to the ombudsman if you want. we dont care!
That attitude of ''we have your money, we're not payin out so fu*k off and sort your car out yourself'' is shocking, love to see them gettin taken to the cleaners! :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

Any update for us echo?
