Gerard O´Connell from Northern Ireland, drives a particularly monstruous version of the Escort Mk2, powered by a Smith & Jones tunes 600Hp Cosworth YB Turbo unit.

Formerly powered by a Millington NA engine unit, it is now fighting for Top Honours in the Irish Hillclimb Championships with this fantastically finished and properly developed machine. Using a state-of-the-art Paddle Shift Transmission and weighing surely less than a 1000Kg this is surely one of the fastest Mk2 Hilllcimb cars in the World. And footage like this caught at Garron Point Hill Climb 2017 goes some way to prove exactly that...

Was just reading through the comments and it's like we've said on here before the limited numbers will be worth money along with the type r and early sti and possibly ra cars but are gonna be with big money in years to come

I had opportunity to visit the unofficial subaru museum in Kilkenny and l know what lm talking about. Its the irish "farm" with a better driveway :icon_lol:

to be fair Adrian that's where the regs lie now and when the R5's are being driven properly they are good to watch.
Eugene Donnelly has to be the greatest deal maker in the country, how he does it i do not know.
Those sponsors wouldn't be on board if he was mounting a S12B for the national championship i bet you that.
