Nurburgring bites back

:multijump:

Gordon ya trouble maker what were you thinking starting this obviously controversial thread

:multijump:

Glad everyone has kissed and made up :smoochie:

I feel as I have been misquoted that I mus say more.

Ref the quote you used Tommy theres not much more it can mean, fairly straight forward sentence in its entirety. But I will simplify it.

Baz obviously thinks this comment relates to someone he knows.

what kind of idiot takes a "jeep" to the ring and then smacks it

anyone with a bit of sense would take an impreza or legacy over :subaru:

:sucks:

I have simply told Baz that his comments may have arisen from a crossing of wires, in that he read into something that wasn't there maybe although I can see where he would cross those wires and that I don't think that if the club members knew anything about his friends misfortune that they wouldn't be bitchy, childish or inconsiderate to go passing comment about his friends misfortune. As we're all car enthusiasts and wouldn't wish ill on a fellow enthusiast.

But as I have said he may have is wires crossed and your comment may have been just bad timing that just happens to cover another incident.

So your sentence should read, Afaik the above video is totally unrelated to anything or anyone in ireland so whats the cack with "I don't think lads would be that bitchy childish and inconsiderate." It's very important that you put the start of the sentance in other wise it takes on a whole new meaning and context, so please quote correctly if your going to use one of my quotes please mate.

Hope this helps.

Now on with the forgetting about it.

When you hit a barrier do you need to come back and report it or is there cameras every section of the track?

Is it not something like e1500 a section?

Pretty sure there is cctv the whole way around dave

And yeah its very expensive to replace each section.

There are stewards and cameras all along the track so wouldn't think anything would be missed Dave. Couldn't comment on the cost though.

Nowhere near that price from memory...
And only replaced if sustained a certain level of damage

Just googled it.

Base fee for attendance of armco truck: €150
Removing damaged armco: €10/metre (x2 or x3 or x4 for multiple-height sections)
Replacement armco: €31/metre (x2 or x3 for double/triple height)
Removing damaged armco posts: €5.10 each
Replacing armco post: €39 each
Safety car attendance: €82 per 30 mins (car + 2 people)
Circuit closure: €1,350 per hour
Recovery truck: €190 (inc VAT)
Hospital stay & air ambulance: Let's just say, do NOT go there without travel insurance! (Though a European Health Card - which replaced the E111 - may cover the hospital bit.)

For everyone in the dark, a former ISDC member, Dan Forester Sti, crashed his forester at the ring sometime over the past few days. I personally feel sorry for him as its never nice to see something like that but I sincerely hope that this makes him realise that he's not invincible on the road and able to handle any situation like he has previously claimed on here. He got away lucky as noone was injured, although it may be expensive to repair the foz and the crash barriers if they are damaged but thats the risk you take on track. Hopefully he gets it sorted.

Fair play to for posting that Robbie .

Tommy I'm gonna be dead honest with you I think your first reply was directed at Dan , whatever happened with the Club and Dan I dont really care to be honest it has nothing to do with me but it, doesnt give a reason for a post like that.

in fairness baz , your comment put fuel on the fire imo, and it was that very "ability/invincibility " sentiment that people here disliked
iirc

all scooby members will not se eye to eye
