i had a 2008 vrs diesal estate for over a year when our first born came along and i sold my bl5 legacy b4( a moment of maturity) i have to say it was some car. brillant on diesal, 600 miles to tank, loads of storage, 170 bhp so serious go for a diesal, the torque was unreal, i embarrassed many a petrol car with the vrs and would highly recommend one, the pull from 30 mph-100mph is very good in them for evreyday driving. just make sure it had its injectors replaced as there was a recall on them and they do go, it happened to me but replaced under warranty just awell as its a 2k job. that aside i lasted one year with it before i went back to scoobie power :smokesubaru

any know anything about the audi a6 being looking at a 2010 a6 avant are there any pit falls. i know the suspsnsion is a weak point. there is a very limited choice on nice estate cars

depends on the engine joe the 2.0 can give trouble I think the 1.9 is ok and the v6 diesel as with any diesel the mileage is a major factor

I'm a big fan of the SMAX aswell.. Tried to get herself to buy one but no go.. She didn't want a people carrier so she got an 06 Tucson and she loves it, plenty room across the back for 3 seats, and because it's only 2wd there is no rear tunnel do flat floor.
You think there is loads of stuff out there untill you start limiting it down with criteria.. Then there is Fuk all options

Engine specific joe. A lot cause problems with oil strainers clogging up on pick up pipe from sump, starving heads of oil and locking them. Not heard great things either bout 1.9 tdis either... Expensive buggers once up the years or mileage. Front suspension is pricey to fix. Great build quality and feel though.

its a 2.0 with 100k miles which seems normal for 2010 diesel cars. being looking for 3 weeks now and theres loads of shite out there in the 15-20k bracket which is shocking milage seems to be the biggest stumbling block
