Hi guys, is anybody familiar with this car?

I'm looking for 4th gen Legacy estates in turbo petrol. Myself I'd rather have manual transmission, but it will be mostly driven by my wife who is used to automatic transmission in our current Mitsubishi Cedia 1.8T wagon. She's fine with manual gearboxes but prefers automatic.
Car looks nice on the pictures (they always do :) ), but mileage is pretty high and NCT running out soon. Price seems attractive.
I'd appreciate if you could share your opinion.

This must be David Lapworths car or does anybody know?
Nicky Grists one is in Donegal and Colin McRaes is belonged to a dealer in Edinburgh i think?

A question do you see the way there is a few 000/400 out of total number I think they were used as press cars media etc but how many were??? there and does this not take away from the actual car numbers I think there is another one in Japan in a garage on show
 
McRae, Grist and Lapworth got gifted three 000 cars for winning manufacturers champ in 1997.

Ahh Vicky [emoji8] yes pretty sure you?re right he had to hand over his hard earned money and Colin took it out for a spin in that program Mac I think it was posted here before
 
yeah quite possibly he did. I imagine they knew they were pretty good investment!
He sold it apparently to build the red Mk2 Escort.

alot of 22b in our country considering how few are left and how few were sold originally

Not a story as I sat in it! Was at Rally Legend couple of years ago and he drove it all the way over.
Met the owner again last year at the Donegal International, still has it.

be some crack trying to put a claim in of 100k for a 98 impreza ha
 
Cars are for driving , locked away in a garage ain't no fun or enjoyment to me but when parts from them cars can't be got anymore and they go up I'm value you have to have a think about it as an investment
