Sort of thinking more s-tech now, theyre supposed to be stiffer and lower, makes sense for better handling but risk of some understeer?

lower and stiffer is not always better if you don't have a shock that is stiff enough to match the spring it will be bouncy on the road and wont handle as it should

They say the same thing about suspension on jap cars versus euro cars, a p1 versus a type r, and the majority will still go jap given the choice, it's personal preference.

Are you sure those specs are correct for an impreza, don't think they drop the car 55mm, and spring rates are different according to this: http://www.scoobyparts.com/suspension/tein/tein-lowering-springs-new-age-03-07

To be honest though, I think you are overthinking it, they are only lowering spring and I don't think you'd be disappointed with either. To make your choice easier, if it's a jap car go with jap tein, if it's Irish/uk, go with euro eibach, simples :multijump:
