Subaru Legacy B4 BL5 GT

From what I've read: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Vehicle_Identification_Numbers_(VIN_codes)/Subaru/VIN_Codes

BL5 is position 456 on the Vin.

Position 7 is: model
Position 8 is: restraint type (seats and belts)
Position 9 is: check digits (?)
Position 10 is: Model year.
Position 11 is: Transmission.

According to this that Vin is for an 08...?

Just trying to be sure when i head down to the docks a Toyota Yaris isn't staring gleefully back at me.

all that is carbon wrap, i know that guy he is polish, sold him a few parts, i would get a mechanic too look at it just to make sure he got this sorted on it, some sensor and coilpack issues he was having

Just saw it now.

The wheels look nice but not a fan of anything else.

You going to see it oz?

I bought one last week as a little project. Needs some work but got it VERY cheap.

Haven't looked at her yet as I haven't had the time but hope to start this week.

No doubt I'll be on here looking for parts and advice.

Yes Sir!
good man, any pics? where did you buy it? I have some spare parts there if you need anything let me know

I bought the one with a blown engine in Meath. Down on compression in three of the cylinders and had over 2 litres too much oil in her. Block is fine. She'll be a something to work on for the next while.

I will possibly be looking for the following:

Wheels (What would look best on the BL5)
Cat back exhaust
FMIC
Induction kit

Not going to mod a whole lot. Been there, done that, but wouldn't mind the above. Is there anything else you'd suggest?

I better start my own thread. Sorry for the hijack!

Unless your upgrading the engine and turbo no need for either of those. Now start your own thread!

123.ie paying about 490 on mine, 31, 5 years NCB
What a difference 7 years makes. 123.ie, 24, 5 years NCB - € 1631 fully comp, €1246 TFT

Managed a policy for €999 from First Ireland with an excess of €1000.

They all seem outrageous as i was paying €590 TFT for the Celica which was 0-60 in 7.
