Its worth a decent premium over the average STi left on the roads at this stage and based on johnboy enquiring about an STi with a 4k price tag we are talking similar language. However, I've heard nothing back from my pm to him so don't be panicing, I'll be at Terenure Classic Car Show representing the club by the looks of it![]()

Thanks for that sobering message Dave
I could be wrong here but I don't think the standard 4 door STi will appreciate in value like a minty mint type r will. How much would I pay over the coming 10 years in insurance, tax, fuel, maintenance etc that will easily cancel out the premium price a clean Subaru will carry at that point?
Don't get me wrong - if I had a garage to store my car in I would never sell it - but not in that position at present & couldn't justify paying for car storage.

Yeah no problem mate - I was like yourself (5 years ago) and decided I wanted a clean type r but after 6 months & viewing something like 15 cars I gave up on the idea as there were none out there. A wasted 8 hour round trip to West Cork was the final nail & I ended up buying the STi & haven't looked back since![]()
