Type-r Info

Hi Robbie,

Its a VF 35 turbo that Dave in STi tunning fitted, for round numbers its putting out 320bhp conservatively Robbie, probably a bit more but I know what ya need to get that kinda power and that it don't just come with a dump valve, exhaust and a filter. So i would be very confident of that. No power figures for the current map as it was road mapped but have print outs for the other maps done by Martin Tracey. By all means your more than welcome to have a look anytime. Although give me a bit of notice as I dont live in Louth all the time and I will probably have to come back to meet with you. Would also like to show you a 100% cold start to show you there is no knocking or rattling from engine.

Get yourself something special. Never a better time. I thought you might have been the new owner of the P1 sold here recently.

As much as I would have loved it, I simply couldn't afford it unfortunately. I have a pretty strict budget and I wasn't going to offend Alan with any stupid offers. I am currently looking for a new family car too so I'm limited in what I can spend. Damn responsibilities!! Still hoping something special comes up at the right money

Saw another one tonight, another black one, this time a V5 though. Previous isdc owners i think include PaulV4 and Mark 20VBZR. Thankfully it was much better than the first car I saw. Few bits that would need to be tidied on it but overall good condition. No obvious signs of crash damage, the back bumper drivers side didn't sit quite right where it meets the quarter panel but didn't look to be anything sinister, wind deflectors would need to be stripped off. Few bad door dings but all stuff that coud be sorted. No rust anywhere thank fook. Pulls well and the gearbox seemed tight, there is a problem with the brakes though, be it air lock or sticky pistons, i'm not sure. They weren't up to much. Good car overall though.

I had been getting a bit depressed about the search after seeing that bag of shite last week and being able to find fault with nearly everything i see on donedeal so it was refreshing to see something with a bit of life left in it. I was also allowed to drive this car which was fun, I wasn't expecting to but it was a nice spin :subaru:

Lovely looking car that. I think the bumper was caused by reversing onto a mud flap that was fitted and it pulled it. I remember Mark 20VBZR telling me when he came to evaluate the house when I was buying it.

Has it still got the OZ wheels?

Funny enough Eric actually, I had a similar thought myself.. I thought the mudflap may have been caught on a kerb or something which pulled the bumper down a bit cause the mudflap wasn't in the best of conditions. Still has the OZ wheels, few scuffs here and there but generally in good condition

Always liked that car. Sure if it was perfect you'd have nothing to do and they do look amazing in black when they are cleaned up.

Does need a good detail alright, it definitely has potential though. It has a really nice presence in black with the dark wheels
