What did you do to your car today?

Cheers dec would want to be washed it,polished and waxed it and took me ages lucky the inside want bad as i didnt get the time

Hi Folks, been doing bits past few weeks and didn't update.

1) Car got full service including gearbox and diff oil change.
2) Fitted Perrin front and rear droplinks
3) Finally fitted the Zunsport ss top grills

By next week will have done 10k miles since getting her in May... :changinggear:

Insurance renewal came in the post this morning. Down to €639 on the BMW 750 from €1110 on the Scooby. Fully Comp. Had to change insurer though. AXA quoted €968 on the 750 and wouldn't match the €639 from Zurich. So I said grand you just lost a customer of 4 years.

Hi Charles whats the advantage of the drop links?
Fire up sm pics of the grills

Hi Ciaran, the Perrin ones are much stiffer with less flex (expecially in the joints). This means that the ARBs get loaded immediately and there is no delay on them starting to perform their job.

Best way to describe it is that feels like you got one size heavier ARB - but different... Because if you would go one size bigger on the ARB you could see a loss of grip on more extreme cornering especially on really uneven road surfaces. With keeping the stock (STI) ARBs in place but making the droplinks less flexible you get a more linear action on the ARB and the role they perform in the overall handling without paying the penalty of loss of grip on the more acute turns with uneven surfaces. Translates to more control on twisties - especially with lots of minor / shallow direction changes one after the other, like I see on my daily commute.

They have a couple of different ones and I went with the softest Poly one instead of the steel spherical bearing type. I wanted an improvement without transmitting vibration and noise into the car as want to retain some comfort as a daily driver and as am not doing any "Special Stage" rallying with her don't need the steel spherical type anyway. :icon_lol:

i got the same ones fitted recently but i also put in a pair of whiteline anti roll bars, difference is amazing and no extra harshness etc over bad roads, if anything it all feels more solid and less slop in the handling. I went for the one with the urethane bushings too, as the spherical ones are know to not as be reliable and increase NVH

Few bits from RCM & Prodrive last weekend :subaru: .. The little blue disk is a 555 lighter :049:

Also got my top and bottom ancillary kits from SWRD, still waiting on top & bottom rad house though... Look like good quality, made by Viper Performance who have a good reputation.
