What did you do to your car today?

You think? Was hard when you're the one holding it yourself. I'll have another look from a distance tomorrow

Cheers lads yeah she is a bit red looking at the muinet but when the front mount and the induction kit go in it will towen down the red nicely with the chrome pipes chrome altanater and a few other bits to be done will look the business then or i will loose a bit of the red back to black or something

Changed the Gearbox Oil... it was annoyingly long process though... at first the Bolt didnt want to get loose, when I finally got it loose, it took ages to get rid of everything... after basically half an hour of sipping coffee and watching the dark liquid getting out of my car, I finally could start getting a new one in... which was even worse! I decided not to remove the intercooler, so I went with rubber hose, that I put into the dipstick slot and started slowly pouring 3.5liters of super thick liquid in there... just the process of getting it in there took me about an hour...

But she shifts like new now, feels good and I am not getting grinds when engaging 1st gear fast any more...

Bit late but with a lot of hard work from some fellow club members my Impreza passed the nct yesterday.

Gave the wagon a bit of tlc for the bbq weekend,
Had to free up a couple of sticky calipers (a rear slider that was a complete pig of a job to free up) and a lick of paint to freshen them up

Daughter wanted a few mods done to her wheels too! A full straight through system, removed the cat, although I am fairly sure I saw him back in there first thing this morning. Sti steering wheel and a couple of gauges to keep an eye on the tantrum levels.

In return she gave a hand with a wash this morning

Changed rear pads. Cleaned all brakes and changes cooper grease all round.
Plan is, next few days to bleed brakes and change fluid to dot 5.1 (2 man job so need to recruite someone :)) change grarbox oil and rear dif as well. 75w90 I think will do for both.
All done after work, so small steps need to be taken.

At this stage I cant commit to it. Closer to date I will know. Hope to make it. Great crack with kids on board! Went to last two and both were great!

Changed speakers all round today. On lunch brake went to carpark and did job. Front and back Pioneers, plus tweets at front, Pioneers also.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!
I always knew that stock speakers are shite, but didnt knew they are so bad. Anyway, new quality for me here. Speakers were free (b-day gift), had to do spacers/adapters but lucky enough I know guy who have 3d printer :)
We ended up doing it on cnc machine as 3d print was not that great, but it was good job. Used foam sealing on back of a speakers and adapters to use doors as resonans box. Worked well.

Flushed dot 3 from system, new 5.1 is on place now.
Bleeded them twice just to make sure there is no bubles there.question to experts: old fluid was brown, new one is nearly clear. Old was was just verybold and thats Why colours was diferent or they are coming In different colours?
Anyway, next on a list is engine oil and grarbox, back dif. Hope to get it done next weekend.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture so as it gets old it changes colour due to contamination. Brake fluid should be changed every two years, more if doing track work as the heat cycles age it quicker

Personally dont rate 5.1 for track days.

Motul RBF600 is the super all rounder.
