Not mine.... My friends machine.

New front calipers/discs/pads.
New rear mintex discs/pads.
2 click hand brake.
5.1 fluid.
Service.

Stops great now, lovely pedal.
 
Gave my car a good going the past few hours

Prewash, wheel clean, tyre polish, 2 bucket wash, coat of polish and a coat of wax






I love how carbon black can look dark blue and black at the same time depending how light hits it
 
Changed oil and filter this morning and gave her a quick wash ????

Started the strip down of the AP calipers. Pistons out of one so far


The pistons are aluminum seems like they mark easily and over the years have acquired a few nicks and scratches. I wonder of that will be an issue and warrant new pistons?

 
Marks there are from pushing them back to put in new pads not ideal but ok . Once there's no marks on the barrels of the Pistons that go against the seals Your ok :thumbsup:
 
Yeah the barrels are fine, a bit of a rub with some light steel wool to smooth them up and should be grand I'd say

Getting ready for mapping
Changed
Shell helix ultra 5w40 engine oil
Millers CRX 75W90 gearbox and different oil.
Bit doesn't like 5w40 oil in engine as getting bit high pressure and looks like bit more valve noise.
But would be good idea map car on dyno with 5w30 oil?
