What did you do to your car today?

Fitted new Osrams today. Quick job, can actually see cars before they come at me now. The light is white but not blinding.

Tried to insure the legacy today and axa wanted 1500, third party! I guess i just have to transfer my poilcy back and forth as i need to drive it

Temporary transfers with Axa have a €20 "Admin fee" each time you do it. Then after 3 or 4 they'll say no, get a separate policy.

Tbh it's messy because one isn't insured while you're driving the other. You may aswell put the legacy in someone's else's name and drive it 3rd party if you're going to be doing that.

I'd try find a company who will mirror your NCB.

Hi Dan, was that as an additional policy to your daily?
Did they mirror the policy no claims in that case?
AXA is one of the few who will give you a 2nd policy and copy your NCB to the 2nd policy.

You can transfer your insurance between two cars you own, but they will only do this a couple of times and then they will refuse and tell you to get a 2nd policy. This happened to me and how I ended up with two policies for a while with AXA... worked out ok money wise due to the "policy mirroring".

If it is only the odd time to move the 2nd car around and not worth a fortune where you want full cover, you could transfer it into somebody else's name and then you can drive it under your 3rd party extension.

They wanted 1500 as a second policy with my ncb mirrored on the new policy.

I switched my policy from legacy to s6 and got a 50 quid refund from a 800 euro premium since its cheaper to insure. Now i wanted to drive the legacy a bit to get it ready for sale I thought second policy would be max 800-1000 euro. I thought u couldn't do temporary transfers between two cars own? Or can i get away with that a few times?

Started her 1st time in about 2 months.
Let her warm up, drove her around the yard and lane for a while to clean off the brake discs.
Removed a little condensation that had build up.
Fixed the boot release...

...The release handle in the cabin had not been working since the NCT test. Found that there is a little lever on the boot lock that allows you to "lock-out" the cabin handle. Flicked it back and presto, can open the boot from the cabin again.

Can you take a picture of that? Having same issue lately.

Sat in it and made some burble and BOV noises. Got strange looks off Laura. Women. Forgot how low and solid it is. Love getting in and out of it and I miss it terribly!:new_puppy_dog_eyes:

When do you think it will be on the road john

Hard to say. I'll know when I get both side by side and get stuck in. Driving, short time frame. On the road with all panels, wont be a quick turn around. Time isn't issue, it's funding it tbh. I've 16 weeks of college from January which means all weekends off and latest finish on timetable atm is half 2 I think so lots of free afternoons.

The mother has given a deadline of off the driveway before my sisters debs anyway or she'll burst me.
